Aware of the duties I undertake as a firefighter, I solemnly vow to be self-sacrificing and brave in saving endangered human life and all property - even at the risk of my life

At the beginning of their career in the Fire Service, every firefighter takes an oath that he will do everything in his power to save people's lives, even at risk to his own.

I have been working in the Fire Department for over 15 years and I still remember what a firefighter with over 25 experience told me at the beginning. That risking does not mean sacrificing your life.

Many young firefighters are fascinated by helping others, providing help, but they turn off their thinking while doing so. Seeing the fire, he runs into it, and hearing that she is injured, he drops everything to help her, not listening to what is being said to him. He tries to be a hero, where there is no place for heroes in the Guard. Of course, so that you don't misunderstand me, I will explain why I write this way.

I have dealt with many incidents where we managed to save people. But sometimes we can't do anything. In one of the incidents, we pulled a mother and her child out of a burning apartment. After a difficult attempt, only the mother was saved, and her vital parameters were restored. To this day I still wonder if something more could have been done. Even when you do everything in your power, sometimes it's sad that some of you cannot be saved.

What I mean by the saying "don't sacrifice yourself" is that there are cases when we can't do anything, we have to try, and entering a situation with no solution can only deprive us of life, which can save many lives in the future of our service.

One of our ill-considered decisions can determine a person's life. Unfortunately, we often have a few seconds to make a decision, depending on the situation. That's why I often tell my younger colleagues that they should stay close, and most importantly, we go in together and we go out together.

But there are also very positive parts of the job, at least for me one of them is the opportunity to visit family while on duty.

My son loves watching fire trucks and, of course, even more spending time with his dad.

I also know that there are few children who would not like the Guard.

Świadom podejmowanych obowiązków strażaka, uroczyście ślubuję być ofiarnym i mężnym w ratowaniu zagrożonego życia ludzkiego i wszelkiego mienia - nawet z narażeniem życia

Każdy strażak na początku drogi w Straży Pożarnej składa taką przysięgę , że zrobi wszystko co w jego możliwości dla ratowania życia ludzi, nawet ryzykując swoim.

Pracuje w Straży ponad 15, lat i dalej pamiętam co mi na początku powiedział już strażak z ponad 25 doświadczeniem. Że z narażeniem nie oznacza poświęceniem swojego życia.

Wielu młodych strażaków jest zafascynowana pomaganiem innym, niesieniem pomocy, ale przy tym wyłączą myślenie. Widząc ogień wbiega do niego, a słysząc że jest osobą poszkodowana , rzuca wszystko żeby jej pomóc, nie słuchając co się do niego mówi. Stara się być bohaterem, gdzie w Straży nie ma miejsca dla bohaterów, oczywiście żebyście nie zrozumieli mnie źle zaraz wytłumaczę dlaczego tak pisze.

Miałem już do czynienia z wieloma zdarzeniami, w których udało nam się uratować ludzi. Ale czasami nie możemy nic zrobić. Przy jednym ze zdarzeń wyciągnęliśmy matkę z dzieckiem z palącego się mieszkania, po ciężkiej próbie udało się odratować tylko matkę, a dokładnie przywróci parametry życiowe. Do dzisiaj myślę czy nie dało się zrobić coś więcej. Kiedy nawet robisz wszystko co w twojej mocy, czasami niestety to smutne ale i tak części nie udaje się uratować.

W powiedzeniu że nie poświęcać się chodzi mi, że są przypadki że nic nie jesteśmy wstanie zrobić, próbować trzeba a wchodzenie do sytuacji beż wyjścia może pozbawić nas tylko życia, które w przyszłości swojej służby może uratować wiele istnień.

Jedna nasza nie przemyślana decyzja może decydować o ludzkim życiu. Niestety ale często na podjęcie decyzji mamy kilka sekund w zależności od sytuacji. Dlatego też nie raz Młodszym kolegą mówię że mają się trzymać blisko, a co najważniejsze razem wchodzimy, razem wychodzimy.

Ale są też bardzo pozytywne części pracy, przynajmniej dla mnie jedna z nich jest jest możliwość odwiedzenia rodziny podczas służby.

Mój syn bardzo uwielbia oglądać wozy strażackie i oczywiście jeszcze bardziej chociaż chwilę spędzić czasu z tatą.

Wiem też że jest też mało dzieci które nie lubiły by Straży.
