What I love about my weekends - WEEK 175
When the weekend comes, all I want to do is recharge my batteries to try to do my best in the following week.
I see weekends as an opportunity and this is what I like the most about them. A chance to rest, to sleep a couple of extra hours and to get out of the routine, get some things done or catch up with things around the house.
A perfect weekend for me, are those that I can enjoy with my family, connect with nature, see new places and enjoy at least one special meal. You know a dinner, an afternoon of ice cream or a different breakfast, where you say wow I need Saturday to never end.
I can't say that all my weekends are awesome, but I try to make them different from the rest of the weekdays, even if sometimes I just want to sleep in and watch one of those old but fun shows.
I love the weekends when I wake up in the Hato. That corner of my land that I love, watching the sun's rays rise or how it hides in those immense mountains, is something that makes me happy.
Walking quietly through the countryside or the city is another of my favorite weekend activities. Breathing fresh air, without rushing, just enjoying the moment, is always an excellent plan.
I'm always thinking, how would I like to spend the weekend, if I were a three year old. You know I want the weekend to not only be good for me, I also want it to be great for my child. So I try to include in my plans an outing to the park or some children's event that the child will enjoy. We recently went to a Disney's Magical World show and enjoyed it a lot.
I also love to have a space just for me, to think, organize my ideas or just daydream, visualizing a little bit the future, setting my goals and planning how I can get there.
I just want to get to Sunday afternoon with a smile on my face and go to bed early, with the satisfaction that my weekend was a profitable one.
This weekend, it's been pretty quiet, but so far it's going amazing, I've played with my boy and resolved unfinished business. We'll see what Sunday will bring.

The weekend lends itself to many of the things you mention, sleeping a few more hours, going out for dinner or an ice cream, but above all what I like most is what you say about being at the ranch, I enjoy that too, because when I can go to my in-laws house in Guarico, I disconnect from everything. I know what you mean when you say that.

Really the weekends as you put them are wonderful. Getting away from routines and trying new things always recharge our energies.
