Coffee DellaNonna: My first coffee purchase at the supermarket - Review

Hello to all. A special greeting to those who love to wake up and savor a steaming cup of coffee. I am happy to share with you again. Some time ago, I wrote about all the effort behind a cup of coffee, from its production and processing until we have it served and ready to enjoy, since I grew up watching my parents work hard in the production of a good coffee.

It is for that reason, that very few times I have had the need to go to the store in search of coffee, I have tried very few brands, my parents have always done their best to get me a good amount of coffee wherever I am. But this year, this has not been possible, this year's harvest has not been the best and the rain did its thing on the road that leads to the farm, so moving is difficult, I count the days to return and I hope to do it in the next month.

In the meantime, I decided to go in search of a good coffee at the supermarket, nowadays we can find many brands, most of them produced in my country Venezuela and others coming from Colombia or Brazil, undoubtedly coffee goes beyond borders.

The first brand to which I gave my vote of faith is called Café DellaNonna. A Venezuelan brand, specifically from the State of Portuguesa. Why did I choose it? Because they did an incredible job with the marketing and presentation. The name was the first thing that resonated in my head, I seem to have heard this name many times, so just reading it caught my attention. What made me grab it off the shelf and read its packaging was the color combination of its packaging. Vinotint and silver, I think it worked perfect.

I chose the 100 gr. package and when I got home I decided to make a cup. When I uncovered it, I saw that it was of a brown color, usually the coffee in my house is of a darker color, the second thing I noticed were some yellow particles, what could they be, why does it look like this after grinding, is it because they combine it?

I have heard complaints from people who end up disappointed because their coffee is not 100% pure, I am not saying that this is the case, but I have no idea what these small particles are. However, the smell is quite pleasant. I noticed that for it to be as black as we like, I had to use more than I'm used to.

Once ready, its flavor is quite pleasant, it is not bad, it is milder than the Creole coffee, but it is very good. I don't know if I will choose this brand next time, but I don't rule it out. From 1 to 10, I give it an 8.
