Part One Of Making New Crochet Patterns

Hello my fellow needle workers, I hope you all see me doing well. I had a pretty long day but this is the calming part of the day soooooooooo here we go people!!!

Today's project is not for a client buh inspired by @kattycrochet she made a post weeks ago or months ago. I'm not so sure but it was a square like this. I found it really unique because I’ve never done anything like that. Immediately I saw it I rushed to katty’s comments and brags about how I would try out the pattern very soon.

Well this is several weeks or months after and here we are. I didn’t stay away from trying this on purpose though. Just hear me out yeah, I had a huge pile of work to deliver that whole time (November to March beginning)was so time consuming that I could not add my personal projects (no matter how small), but right now I am free (well I pray it stays this way for a while) and I am ready to try out all the unique patterns I have seen in this community and I’ll tag everyone that inspired it.

Making this square was not as complicated as I thought it would be. I mean everyone thinks a particular pattern or design is complicated till they actually try it out by themselves.

First thing is that this was really fun to make because I am a square’s girlie and making new patterns (for me though) is just exciting and thrilling like getting butterflies in your belly when you get ice cream.

And for the second thing I had to be very conscious of the number of chains I made so it wouldn't stretch too much or shrink too much in between the different rows I was making. I was literally dancing in my shoes when I finished the first row of chains and it came out like her own.

Third thing was picking the color. This was very funny because of how indecisive I was. I had tarn of different colors and didn’t know what to pick. I did want to use same lilac she used at some point but I wanted it to look different so I picked this color. Not so different buh still blended.

At the end of making this I felt so happy. Because getting a particular pattern right on the first try is something to be proud about. When I finished up this square I went on to take pictures of it because why not.

Honestly Katty has really inspired me to want to try out a whole lot of patterns and I will definitely do a series about making all the patterns inspired by my fellow needle workers here.

This didn’t take a lot of time and frankly that was good. See you in the next blog post. Byeeeee

What satisfaction it feels when completing a good project, and how good it is that another colleague from the community is the inspiration. It turned out very nice, soon we will see what you can do with it. Greetings!
