Another piece in my Animals with plants: A Potted Corgi with a potted geranium

Aloysius felt left out when mummy was fussing about with her green leafy things. She was always faffing with the smelling growing bits from the garden, digging them up and putting them back again.

Aloysious felt the best way to combat being ignored was to plant himself in a pot, then mummy would pay more attention to him.

Another piece in my Animals and potted plant series. A fun Corgi with a potted Geranium. **I liked the idea that this pup saw his 'mummie' paying for too much attention to plants thus planting himself seemed the logical solution.

As I sketched the final piece digitally in layers, and was playing with outlines in different colors than black, I realized I put the pot layer outline on the fill in base layer, so this first layer outline has our Corgi, Aloysius, floating in the air.

And the pot for the geranium ended up on the top layer of final color, lol. Often, when working in layers, I'll forget to make sure I'm on the correct one, but in the end it all works out.

I'm happy to be posting again, day 2 of the new year. I'm still hoping to get back to daily posting, but might be happy with 5 days a week to start. I've got my list and my white board with my daily art chores and we'll see if consistency will be the key word this year, one can hope.
