Waahgwaan Jahmin HIVE peeps?
Last Saturday after my boys graduation ceremony we took them to yakiniku to celebrate. Yakiniku literally means grilled meat….. I know I know, last week I was asking about 7 day vegan challenge and now this? Those questions are general don’t you know?

IMG_6735.JPGIMG_6742.JPG

The name of the establishment is “Yakiniku King” and that they are. They have an all you can eat menu for 1hr and 20 mins I believe and the cost is ¥2,980 per person ( roughly, $28. But here is the thing, for children still in nursery school, it’s free, so you see, this is the last time the boys can officially go here for free because as of April, they will be in elementary school.

One interesting thing to note is that with Yakiniku in Japan, you the customer grill the meat yourself, but in Korea, the staff actually does it for you. I prefer doing it myself as I know how cooked I want my meat. Most of the meats are thin cuts so they cook fast but for others, there is a pair of scissors to cut it up after a pre grilling to get the outer layer browned.

This thing here is the future of waiters and waitresses in its early stages, it actually brings food to specified tables all while watching out for people and obstacles and maneuvering around them. Interestingly my boys thought they were more intelligent than they appeared and kept on saying hello 👋

IMG_6739.JPG

We had quite a lot of dishes but no time to take pictures as time was of the essence, the boys ate more than usual as they do love meat. Of course there was some salad and “food” ( foods from the ground ) like potatoes and sweet potatoes but meat is the main.

IMG_6745.JPG

This thing here was actually rice covered in cheese, not sure what they call it but it’s some Italian thing. You know who ordered that right?

IMG_6746.JPG

To all the vegans who actually looked into this post… why did you do it 😂 why dd you corrupt your mind with all this? To all the meat eaters, sorry I didn’t grab some better pictures as there was a lot that went on those grills. Below we can see some shrimp, chicken cartilage ( wtf right? It’s good though) and some beefy beef.

Until next DashOut… eat and walk good!

Looks delicious :) And what an interesting way of preparing, that you can cook the food by yourself! The kids for sure enjoyed the "future of waiters" thing 😅

Love yakiniku. Just that when you leave, the smell of it is on you-can’t hide. 😆

First time hearing about the King. Lol! I love the Japanese-style. It’s fun “cooking” your own food and adding the different sauces. When our boys were were younger, had to explain to them that it’s really hot. They wanted to cook and do everything. 😆
Haha! Grandpa won’t mind taking them.
Loving the break. Enjoy yours too. Blessings. 😃

Nah man... chicken cartilage doesn't survive on my plate 😂 and I get that you had to get the most of your time and money. It all looks amazing 😍.

Oh and I think the rice dish is called risotto. I still need to try that dish out, but don't know any restaurants here serving it.

Interestingly my boys thought they were more intelligent than they appeared and kept on saying hello 👋

Hahaha, how cute... Have they seen The Jestons? They'll recognize a lot of the tech and what still needs to come true.

I love it too. I even eat the bones sometimes 🤤!

Ah yes you right, risotto, you should try making it. Does t seem so difficult. Just melt up some cheese on rice with some bacon in it.

You known interestingly, jetsons is off their radar. Not on Netflix or streaming where they like to watch. They recently started watching Pokémon 🤦🏾‍♂️

That's a bummer oh hahaha and Pokémon just keeps on going and milking their market, with their games and all the merchandise. It's a real enterprise right now.

I even eat the bones sometimes 🤤!

Me too! Hahaha, @rarej sometimes asks me to leave some for the dogs 🙈.
