This is my entry for the Feathered Friends - Show Me A Photo Contest Round 60 which is hosted by @nelinoeva! The theme for this round is "Birds With Human Made Things". You can learn more about the contest and how to enter HERE!

The Gray Catbird on the cage above is my entry but here are a few more photos of birds with human made things in my post. It is funny to me to catch the wild birds perched on a cage outside because a bird is normally seen in a cage. The cage is a rabbit cage that belongs to my daughter. After she pressure washes them to clean them she leaves them in the open air to dry. The wild birds do seem to like landing on them. I haven't caught a bird in one yet but rest assured if I do then I will leave the door open and only capture the bird in photo.

I also caught a Blue Jay up on the rooftop!

Rooftops are a popular spot for the birds and along with the Blue Jay I also caught a beautiful Dove up there and I believe this is a House Sparrow basking in the sunshine.

I can't say that this male Northern Cardinal was basking in the sunlight because it doesn't appear to be sunny but he was definitely taking in a nap up on the rooftop and I thought he would be a cute way to end my post! 🐦

Does the catbird sound like cat? I always wonder.
Lovely selection of photos, as always.
Peasure to have you among us, Dee!

Thanks so much Neli!! To me, it sometimes sounds like a kitten mewing for its mommy. I always thought they were called Catbirds because they sure like to "sound the alarm" when a cat is nearby. 😉😁

Hi @manorvillemike and thank you so much!! The last two I shot with my Nikon P900 and the others I shot with my Nikon P610. I have a few other cameras now as well but these are the ones I used for the photos above. The 900 is a lot heavier than the 610 so I tend to get more shots that are blurry but that is on me and my shaky hands and other operator error scenarios. Once it warms up a little more I want to practice a little more with other settings on it too. I still get better photos of the moon with the 610 but that is also without a tripod. 😉

You are getting good picture. You must be using a lens too..

It is the lens that is attached to the camera. I think you can add onto it but these are were taken with no added lenses and I just zoomed in. It is a bridge camera but believe me I'm not tech savvy on these things. I do have a Canon that the lenses can be switched out but I don't use it as much since I prefer these type where I can point and zoom if I want. Canon (I believe) makes a bridge camera also but I would have to try one to even consider buying another one I mean, how many cameras does one really need ..lol. The 900 was a gift and the Canon both my husband and I use. I will try to do a post soon showing photos just with the Canon. I do love the picture quality. Oh, and I also did some editing using photo editor, adobe and or gimp. Added text with lunapic. 🙂

I haven't had much time to go around to check on friend's posts but I sure am glad I found the time now to do so. Lovely entries, all of them can be your entry to the contest and give everyone a run for their money. The macros are really amazing! Win or not this is a great trophy find 🤗👏
