Pandora Papers put Zelensky in trouble
Pandora Papers is a gigantic dossier made up of about 12 million documents containing detailed information on over 200 thousand offshore companies and related organization charts, in which are mentioned for various reasons and with different amounts of money, political leaders, government officials, relatives and collaborators of the same, up to sports personalities and various managers, all involved in tax crimes of various kinds and gravity.
The investigation involved over 90 countries, over a period of 25 years, from 1996 to 2020.
The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists, which already published the Panama Papers in 2016 and the Paradise Papers in 2017, called the Pandora Papers the largest investigation in the history of journalism.
The Pandora Papers released in 2021 revealed that Ukraine and Zelensky's magic circle were among the most corrupt in Europe.
For Ukraine, the investigation was carried out by the newspaper "Slidstvo.Info". In the bulk of the documents, journalists found confirmation of the information already published at the time of the presidential election campaign in the spring of 2019.

It is a scheme that allowed offshore companies, whose beneficiaries were Volodymyr Zelenskyi and some members of the production center of comedy television programs "Kvartal 95", to receive 40 million dollars from companies linked to the oligarch Ihor Kolomoyskyi starting from 2012, when the “Kvartal 95” started collaborating with the 1 + 1 television channel.
According to the dossiers consulted by “Slidstvo.Info”, in 2012, the managers and members of the television and film content production center “Kvartal 95” set up over a dozen companies in the British Virgin Islands, Belize and Cyprus. Central to this network is the company Maltex Multicapital Corp., owned in equal parts by the offshore companies of Volodymyr Zelenskyi and his wife, the brothers Serhiy and Borys Shefir, co-founders of “Kvartal 95” and the screenwriter and director Andriy Yakovlev.
According to the investigation, the company Davegra Limited, named after the former director of the Security Service Ivan Bakanov, has taken possession of the central company Maltex Multicapital Corp. in order to hide the identity of the beneficial owners.
The Pandora Papers provide information partially confirming the $ 40 million transfer made by Ihor Kolomoyskyi's companies to benefit Zelenskyi-named offshore companies and his business associates in 2012.
The transfer of funds took place through a payment of the share capital: the companies of Kolomoyskyi formally invested in the offshore companies of the “Kvartal 95”. The companies that contributed the money are the same suspected of laundering the billions of the PrivatBank, one of the owners of which was Kolomoyskyi.
Furthermore, the transfer was made by the Cypriot branch of PrivatBank which is involved in the alleged money laundering operations of the millions of dollars by Kolomoyskyi. According to what emerged from the Pandora Papers, at least one of the “Kvartal 95” offshore companies has an account at the bank's branch in Cyprus.
The investigation shows that Zelenskyi's offshore companies and its business partners could have been part of the recycling scheme, says "Slidstvo.Info".
