Wedding Loan

I recently watched a video online which made me laugh so hard. I had to post it on my WhatsApp status and for the first time, I got lots of replies from that single video.

I'm still wondering what will make someone take a loan just to take care of their wedding expenses. The funniest thing about this is that these set of people tend not to cut their cloth according to their size. They don't consider the fact that they took a loan for their wedding and most times, they go ahead planning the wedding in a grand style.

These set of people always have this thought that they will get back the money during the marriage when people start spraying them. It's a pity these set of people don't know that anything can happen during the marriage and people might end up not spraying them enough money as they would have expected. Should they not get enough money from the spraying and gifts, how would they pay back the loan?

Let's go back to the video I watched that made me laugh out so loud. In the video, the groom rushed out of the wedding hall ranting that he won't be dancing anymore. He was very angry that people were spraying him 50naira notes which is one of the least currencies we have in Nigeria. He was expecting that people would be spraying him either 200naira, 500naira or a thousand naira. However, he got the shock of his life and this made him so angry and disappointed.

His Best Man pleaded with him continuously to go back inside, but he refused. You need to see how he was complaining bitterly, asking if they know how much he spent on the marriage that they will be spraying him such a little amount of money. He was sure expecting the best, but he forgot to prepare for the worst.

A lot of people gathered and pleaded with him to go back and continue with the dance since some persons were still inside waiting for him, but he refused. His bride became so confused and was already crying. She pleaded with him to go back inside, but he still refused even after she told him that he must continue the dance whether he likes it or not. He didn't even bother looking at her, all he did was to remove his suit and maintained his stand that he won't be dancing anymore.

I bet what was on his mind that moment was how he will be able to pay back the loan he collected. So sad what he was expecting, wasn't what he got. I really feel for him but was leaving the wedding hall the right thing to do?

Why take a loan to do organize your wedding when you don't have a feasible plan on how to pay back the money? Why do a lavish wedding when you don't have such income? I really feel we all need to cut our coat according to our cloth. Don't aim for what you know you don't have enough money for.

Marriage is a good thing, but why take a wedding and after the marriage, you stay hungry since you are focused on paying back the loan you collected? We should be wise when it comes to things like this. I really wish we can ponder on these things and make wise decisions whenever it's time for us get married.

I'm not yet married, but that's not because I don't want to get married now, it's because the finance isn't there to do so now. I don't want to take a wedding loan and that's why I'm working so hard, so I can give my bride her dream wedding without any thoughts of how I will be paying back the loan.

Things like this brings embarrassment and disgrace and that's one of the things I hate so much in my life. I hope we learn from this.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

!lol left his own wedding because people were not spraying money as he is expected 🤔🤔

You are right, 'we need to cut out coat according to our cloth' I don't see why anyone should even do an elaborate wedding hereby spending money they don't have when they can just do a little wedding ceremony.

You are right.. Don't do anything to impress anyone.. Just do things according to your power

Taking a loan for anything including wedding is not bad. But spending lavishly is the issue. People spend so much on parties, forgetting that even if they feed the whole world, some will still criticize them that they did not eat. It is good to be wise, rather save up some if the money to begin life after marriage is the best.

As for you bro, you don't need to have the whole world before getting married. Although the choice is completely yours

Great feedback.. 😂... I'm not actually waiting to have the whole world before getting married, I'm just waiting to have something that won't make me borrow just to do my wedding.. I just hope you understand my angle.

I really love this reaction.. Thanks for this

That was so embarrassing for the groom to act that way, but it´s all his fault though. Why take a loan to do a wedding? I don´t feel pity for people like them because these are those who do not understand the difference between a wedding and marriage.

Some actually want to show off or oppress other people with extravagant weddings but is it uncalled for to take a loan to do that?

It´s better to work for your money to do a wedding than to borrow. I came via @dreemport

It is really funny to think about but this same thing is happening over age over again and yet people fail to learn their lessons.
It's always good to cut your coat according to your size SGS moreover, why should someone borrow money for a wedding??
Doesn't it look weird to you??

Yet people do it.
It's high time we learn our lessons

It looks very weird but unfortunately, we have people doing this over and over again just like you rightly said. I just wish they would learn their lessons

Oh my, what was he expecting before especially in this country of ours. It's a pity! Marriage is to bring two persons together not to build Fortune as many people take it.

A lot of people make this mistake and most times, it is to please people, I can't even imagine starting your life in debt.

Why would someone do things to please others? Smh... They will always end up regretting it..

I hope you can have at least a simple wedding soon. Surely your fiancé is more interested in starting a life together than a big ceremony :)

😂😂 I once read a story where the groom took a huge loan for his wedding from his workplace. His wife left him a couple of months later and baba was still paying the loan he took 6 months after she left him.

I think the worst reason anyone can take a loan is for a wedding. You could literally go to court just the two of you and a few friends and make it official. No need for any extra party.

Can you imagine.. The woman even still left him. Foolishness in the highest order. I'm not against taking of loans but not for marriages.

Like you rightly said, a small wedding won't hurt anyone. Do a court marriage and you are already married

Marrying nowadays is so expensive.. That's why many couple remain just couple and no tying the knot until they get old 😅

If its so expensive, then why not wait to gather some money instead of borrowing? You just need to work harder

When your first wedding is the full monte costs over thirty thousand pounds and you pay the bill you do the next one on a smaller scale haha
Well loans for a wedding in my eyes is a bad idea!
Have a great weekend:)
