White Out
Where did the mountains go? Here we are on the way to Eiffel Lake, and as I mentioned before, since the beginning of the hike there was light rain, manageable right? But then the light rain turned into this white stuff..something I really didn’t want to encounter. Came all this way to see snow did I. Was really looking forward to seeing the Valley of ten peaks mountains, and all the yellow Larch trees in the valley, and all I got was this white stuff. See that white looking thing in the picture? That is Eiffel lake. Great. I did go a bit closer, but then do to the unwanted snow, turned around to head back. By this time the snow was piling up on my camera bag and my smartphone was dripping wet with melted snow, but I managed to pop off a few photos here and there anyways. Didn’t want to pull out my dslr and get it all messy, so unfortunately no pics taken with it. That was frustrating.

Dang, still some cool shot's though. Are you going to attempt it again some day on a Sun day? Still looks like a good time to me but I can imagine the images you did want to capture.
Yes, that is the plan. Will have to give it a round 2. Maybe next year, on a sun day!

It couldn't have been an easy trip with setbacks here and there, first the light rain and now the snow. But I kinda like the snow and the shots are cute.
In the end, it was still definitely worth it. Just with a few disappointments.

Really appreciate able and awesome view that you shoot. Snow at mountain/ hike are like twinkling stars like we see in the clear sky at night. You are lucky that you have such type of views in your surroundings.

Hiking in the snow is always a bit precarious, nice views you got there though. You made the right move heading back. I love the mountains, and you have some nice ones up the in Canada!
Interesting how the yellows come out as more of a white in the B&W pictures. I've never done much with B&W, so it's always interesting to see your photos to compare the two. Very cool!

A wonderful vision of the landscape while it snows... As perfect and majestic in black and white as in colors!... Pure visual magic friend!... A round of applause for you my tireless mountain walker and top photographer!
