Summit

IMG_20230901_143155_Original.jpeg

Finally I made it to the Summit or at least close to the summit of the Rae glacier hike. Now in all honesty, the last half hour of this hike was more of a scramble than a hike. I did feel at some point that I was in over my head a little actually, but I trudged along. When I did make it to a decent spot, there was in fact some elderly hikers there as well enjoying the views, so it did kind of give me comfort, and made me think that I was overreacting somewhat to the scramble situation earlier. Views at the top were pretty sweet. This high up the wind was a factor, but no suprise. The glacier itself was partially hidden from view, but the tiny little glacially fed lake was visible. Time for a summit snack!

Very good image display. The mountains there are quite beautiful and I have never gone directly to a college with lots of rocks like that.Because in our area the mountains have lots of big trees and they are all covered with trees.

Awe-inspiring. How long did the hike take you? Congrats on making the summit! Did it take longer on the way back? Great pics my friend.

After finding the proper trail, took about 1.5 Hours or so, or 3 hour round trip. Not too bad actually. It was fun, but probably won't do it again (but who knows..).

Beautiful! You can see the giant glacier scar, and what a beautiful summit! Sounds like it was a tough hike, but the view sure is worth it. The colors and black and whites are both great. It's kind of odd how the black and white makes the pictures feel so much older! That's why Ansel Adam's was one of the true greats!

Indeed, very true. Always love to include the timeless black and whites. Great that others can appreciate that genre. Thanks @thebighigg.

It's a good thing you made it to the summit. Well-done 🙌 You also got beautiful photos, and yes the both colours are amazing.

Needless to say all the photos are great. But the one that stood out the most for me is the second to the last image. The one on a vertical/portrait layout. I like its composition of this massive mountains at the back. A rocky path upfront. And also the running waters.
