One and Only Moraine Lake

IMG_20230926_160001_Original.jpeg

I am back at the lake, and the hike to Eiffel Lake is completed (doomed as it was). This is Moraine Lake, a beautiful sight to behold after a somewhat gruelling past couple of hours. This is the one and only Moraine Lake, perhaps my favourite lake on earth. A favourite of a lot of folks around the world as well. If you google this lake it will bring up numerous pictures and articles published over the years. Any professional photographer’s dream landscape photo shoot! Some of the reflections found here are simply stunning. What do you think, and what is your favourite lake? If you could visit any lake on earth, which would it be and why?

The lake you visit always amazes me, I can't imagine if I was on top of the lake, it's amazing with a very beautiful view behind the lake. Good shot my brother👍

I have heard so much about Moraine Lake and it's really beautiful. Your view is stunning so also the shots. I just love the glassy look of the water.
Apart from the Lake in my country which has both warm and cold water running through it, I have not been to any other.

Whoa, that looks very much like Sabrina Lake down in California. https://ecency.com/hive-163772/@rt395/a-weekend-in-bishop-ca

It's so clear!!!
Does it freeze and can you skate on it?
I'm thinking of coming up to Alberta this winter to get in some lake skating.

Go to Lake Louise which is near Moraine. This is a great place to go for a skate and check out the ice castles they build every early January.

That is one beautifully clear lake! I can see why it's your favorite. That really is a dreamscape for any photographer. The only place I can think of that comes close is in the Andes mountains in southern Chile!
Thanks for sharing, that is really cool!
