Epic Fall Hike
A few more pics from my epic hike to Ptarmigan cirque, Kananaskis country, Alberta. It was a wonderful short hike, perhaps a bit on the cool side though. After all, we are at a high elevation, no surprise there really. Initially I did begin with toque and gloves, but after about a half hour or so on the trail, I did remove the toque to prevent overheating. I would estimate that there were approximately fifty hikers or so on the trail that day. According to AllTrails, this is one of the more popular hikes in the area, seeing as it is easily accessible, and big scenic rewards for very little effort. Talkin my language. I guess it would be preferable to see fewer hikers out and about, but one good thing about that, it gives you a sense of safety. Safety in numbers they say.

Sounds like a hike I'd do over and over again with amazing scenery. Awesome shot's again my friend.
Exactly, next time I go, hoping for blue skies. Thanks @shoemanchu.
Epic for sure…I love all that yellow. Our Tamaracks and Larch are holding their needles well this year, no big wind or rain storms lately.
Man these trees are just so beautiful, thanks @bitphoto.
Coo how the trees are total yello or total green. Hey 50 hikers seen is better than 50 Bears seen.
So cool
Thanks.
See how the white clouds merge with the snow- coloured mountains giving it a tranquil ambiance.
Great scenes, great shots.
So true @edith-4angelseu. Thanks for visiting.
@daveks
An amazing sight of hikes. I want to know that is there sand at the downward of hikes. Are the trees are yellow in reality or due to photography or optimizing the photos.
They are very lifelike, some editing, but this is what it looks like. Thanks
Looks beautiful man. I love those fall colors.
Thanks, it was really awesome.
Hey I need to go to a place like this, I would spend all day climbing and taking pictures of every detail. Cheers and good pictures!
You would like it, a change from the street and city photography. Me, I should do a little more of that actually.
👍
Wow! That is beautiful! I love the snow on the mountains in the background. Now to be honest I had no idea what a toque was, I learned something today so the day wasn't a waste!
Safety in numbers is always true, especially in higher elevations it's a smart move. Gorgeous shots! I need to get back up in the mountains! I grew up on a mountain foothill, the mountain crested at 10,000 feet, about 3 km above sea level. As a kid I hiked it to the top so many times! I really miss it, living at sea level in California has great weather but is crowded and taxes are getting insane.
My first thought was that the word “toque” was a Canadian thing and I should explain it, but never bothered too.
I heard a lot of folks are calling it quits in California, due to several factors.
Your use of the diagonals on the landscape is impressive!... And what fascinating fall colors!
