Down with Dolomite

IMG_20230703_161151_Original.jpeg

All great things must come to an end. After hiking to Helen Lake, it was time to return back down the trail. Thankfully the views going down, especially of Dolomite Peak, were incredible! I tend to capture most of my photos on the way down versus the way up, and also am more relaxed on the way down as well. Most of the surprises of a hike are out of the way by this time (aside from a wildlife encounter, always keep your finger on the bear spray trigger). Did you get a chance to do any amazing hikes this Summer? Do tell in the comments below.

I like that you upload both color and black and white photos, each one has a completely different feel.

Would be nice to go on a hike again. There is a beautiful little mountain right by where I stay, but I wouldn't like to do it alone for safety reasons (criminal aspect). Once again, your photos are superb! Wonder what those four sandy strips are? ..some sort of road?

Yeah last week a Grizzly got a lady at a national park. She was alone without bear spray.

Sad. Always have bear spray. Protects you against any dangers really.

Good grief mate, that first landscape in 16:9 crop and with that perspective (there's a supreme diagonal there) so unusual for a landscape, it's really something amazing to look at and worthy of a big round of applause!... You're like the el equivalent of "Max Verstappen" but taking landscape photos! :))... Impossible to beat!... Better and better and a caress for the eyes!... Thanks for sharing this!
