Chelsea had experienced a sluggish start to their campaign, beating Everton 1-0, before conceding a late equalizer against Tottenham to draw 2-2 at Stamford Bridge. A game that saw a brawl with Antonio Conte on the sidelines ended with Thomas Tuchel being handed a one-match suspended touchline ban so that the manager will be in the dugout today.

Chelsea only made one change to their team, as N’Golo Kante missed out due to injury, and he was replaced in midfield by Gallagher, who made his first league start for the club.

Leeds was looking to continue their unbeaten start to the season, having beaten Wolves 2-1 on the opening day before drawing 2-2 against Southampton, despite holding a 2-0 lead as they headed into the final 20 minutes.

Jesse Marsch was forced into making just one change to their starting line-up from the side that drew against Southampton, as James replaced the injured Patrick Bamford in the attack.

LEEDS (4-2-3-1): Illan Meslier; Rasmus Kristensen, Robin Koch, Diego Llorente, Struijk; Marc Roca, Tyler Adams; Brenden Aaronson, Rodrigo, Jack Harrison; Daniel James.

SUBS: Adam Forshaw, Crysencio Summerville, Kristoffer Klaesson, Luis Sinisterra, Joe Gelhardt, Leo Hjelde, Cody Drameh, Sam Greenwood, Mateusz Klich.

Leeds was winless in seven Premier League games against Chelsea (D2 L5) since a 2-0 victory at Elland Road back in December 2002.

There was an excellent pace to the game early on, with both teams pushing forward in search of an early goal, but it's only Chelsea who did have an attempt so far. It's end-to-end at the moment, with neither team able to get a grip on possession and control proceedings. Making it an exhilarating game for the neutral. No doubt Leeds was there for all three points as the game suggested that way. Leeds midfielder Aaronson skipped past Koulibaly and tried to race into the final third. Koulibaly was shown the game’s first yellow card after a blatant shirt pull on Aaronson.

Chelsea kept their shape well at the back, making it difficult for Leeds to break them down. However, Harrison and Aaronson were causing a few problems. Following three goals against Wolves and Southampton in their opening two league games, Rodrigo was looking to become only the fourth Leeds player to score in their first three top-flight matches in a season.

What just happened? It’s crazy. It’s a howler from Mendy to present Aaronson with his first Leeds goal on a plate. The keeper took too long on the ball in the six-yard box, and he then tried to take Aaronson, who nicked it off his toes and then had a tap-in from close range. Absolutely awful from the keeper, but Leeds won’t care one bit! They lead 1-0.

That goal really got Leeds going; they were pushing forward in search of another before the break and had got Chelsea rattled at the back. Harrison whipped a superb free-kick delivery into the penalty area from the left, and Rodrigo got above James and powered his header into the right corner of the net. Excellent finish by the striker. LEEDS DOUBLE THEIR LEAD! Rodrigo makes it 2-0! The same guy who is on my FPL starting xi. Party mood for me as I don’t have anyone from Chelsea. Inner peace

The second half was underway! It looked like Chelsea had now changed to a back four, with James and Cucurella tucking in as full-backs, and Loftus-Cheek moved into a central midfield role.

Rodrigo looked very lively again for Leeds. The striker was full of confidence at the moment and seemed eager to score again and get his side’s third goal. James tried to pick out Rodrigo in the box with a cross from the left, but there wasn’t enough time or space. Instead, it landed perfectly at Harrison’s feet, who poked the ball into the back of the net from close range. Surely they can’t lose this lead now.

Since Leeds lost 3-0 to Chelsea at Elland Road in May, the two sides have identical records in the Premier League (P4 W2 D2 L0). The Whites had a five-match unbeaten run as recently as March and April this year.

Elland Road was rocking. The home supporters enjoyed a superb performance from their side and could still go on and score a few more.

Koulibaly was shown a second yellow card to make things a bit nasty as he’s sent off! The center-back deliberately pulled Gelhardt down as the striker skipped past him, and the referee had no choice but to give him his marching orders, and Chelsea was down to 10 men. However, this didn’t hamper Chelsea that math, as their ship was already sunk in shame and disappointment. The game ended in that exact manner.

Leeds maintain their unbeaten start to the season, moving up to third in the table, and following up for them is a trip to Brighton in the league. Meanwhile, Chelsea suffered their first defeat and slipped to 12th, and they'll play Leicester City next weekend. They need to find a solution soon. Currently, they have conceded double the amount of goals they have scored.

Chelsea is one of my favourite football club. But Nowadays something is missing from their football. Mainly most of players trying to move new destination after the UCL win. Their recent performance looks so weird 😐

Chelsea is suffering in Finishing. They need someone who can convert. Still they have time to do that. But will they?
