Not listening carefully can prevent action which was intended to make a positive efforts in someone's life, when you refuse to listen, it is only means you will not hear what was saying and which would lead to you not contributing to the subject matter.

That your inability is what is making you to stop adding advantage to it and that is preventing measures, although such preventive measures is dysfunctional because it would not make you improved but would make you loose more and more.To listened and listen attentively is a great way of grabbing all the things to make you conversant.

Listening is also a skill and if possess will be able to gear towards a better achievement, if you do not look at someone speaking to you, you would not hear him clearly and his efforts towards making you know the things he was saying maybe waste, and that would also make the whole time spent wasted.

When i was doing an apprentice work, that was two years ago, by that time, i was learning how to repair a generator, if my master want to talked to me he always asked us to looked at him on the face and avoid looking at another angle if he is talking to us, he is always of the view that if we are not looking at his mouth we would not listened to him and hear what he had to say clearly.

And they way i am seeing is that, he was right about it, when you do not look directly into someone talking to you, you would not comprehend what the person is saying completely, at times you may hear some and may not get to understand some. Because you are not listening attentively.

Therefore, for you not to take action, you can as well refused to listened attentively, because ones you listened and comprehend what was said, that thing would automatically be on your mind and knowingly or unknowingly you would began to practice it, without even putting you mind on it.

That is why Children learn from imitation, if a child See's an elder doing something, you will see that child would be looking at the elder and to know what he is referring to and that child may also want to do that thing oneday, in the case of children looking at their elder's face alone would not help the child in understanding why the elder is saying or doing, he should endeavor to make them see the things he said by signs, that is why it is also advisable that teachers teaching primary school should make used of teaching method in teaching the pupils in class for effective understand, because the teaching method will make them feel happy and see to the fullest what was said in the class.

So for not to take action one must not pay attention to the things that was said but will hear it and give a negative thought over it, listening is a better way of getting the things done in a better way but for not to take action, one must refuse to listened.
