Hive goes to Colonia Tovar [ENG-ESP]

What a joy to come to Colonia Tovar to bring the project "Hive goes to School" to that town. What a joy to return to this magical place after more than 20 years. What a joy to be back with my passion: Talking about HIVE.

Today I woke up super early because I had a commitment in the most beautiful town in Venezuela. I arrived a little late because I didn't remember the distances and I miscalculated the time. Besides, the car I borrowed had low tires and I had to look for someone to fill them up.

This magnificent meeting with three schools in Colonia Tovar, was organized by @hexagono6 who came up from La Victoria, with a little fever. Incredible commitment and responsibility of this woman.

Bringing web3 information to this place so far away from modernity, is something that excites me a lot. Yet everyone had their social networks and a few had heard of bitcoin.

Everything goes slower in this place, although we had to run from one school to another because time was so tight. In the last talk even the parents had to wait a while for us to finish to take their children XD.

The teachers were very pleased, so much so that they asked us for a special session for her, which is straight to the point with 100% Hive information and much more practical. We are coordinating to come back one day and explain it to them. Although it is far away, seeing that interest motivates us and we think that very good things can come out of it. Colonia Tovar is a small, touristy town where everyone knows each other. They are like a family and if several people join Hive a snowball effect could happen; we hope so.

I felt that we left a mark on the kids and also that town left a mark on me. I don't understand why I was so amazed if I had been there many times before. Maybe I forgot how beautiful, or maybe it's because in the company of Hive, everything looks better 😊.

Que felicidad llegar a la Colonia Tovar para llevar el proyecto "Hive va a la Escuela" a esa localidad. Que felicidad volver a ese mágico lugar después de más de 20 años. Que felicidad regresar junto a mi pasión: Hablar de HIVE.

Hoy me levanté súper temprano porque tenía un compromiso en el pueblo más bello de Venezuela. Llegué un poco tarde porque no recordaba bien las distancias y calculé mal el tiempo. Además que el auto que me prestaron tenía los neumáticos bajos de aire y tuve que buscar quien los llenara.

Este magnifico encuentro con tres colegios en la Colonia Tovar, fue organizado por @hexagono6 quien subió desde La Victoria, con un poco de fiebre. Increíble el compromiso y responsabilidad de esta mujer.

Llevar las información de la web3 a este lugar tan retirado de la modernidad, es algo que me emociona mucho. Sin embargo todos tenían sus redes sociales y unos cuantos habían escuchado sobre bitcoin.

En este lugar todo va más despacio, aunque nosotros tuvimos que correr de un colegio a otro porque el tiempo era muy ajustado. En la última charla incluso los padres tuvieron que esperar un rato a que finalizáramos para llevarse a sus hijos XD.

Las maestras quedaron súper encantadas, tanto que nos pidieron una sesión especial para ella, que sea directo al grano con información 100% de Hive y mucho más práctica. Estamos coordinando para volver un día y explicarles. Aunque es lejos, ver ese interés nos motiva y pensamos que pueden salir cosas muy buenas de ahí. La Colonia Tovar es un pueblo pequeño, turístico donde todos se conocen. Son como una familia y si varios ingresan en Hive podría ocurrir un efecto bola de nieve; eso esperamos.

Sentí que dejamos una huella en los chicos y también ese pueblo la dejó en mí. No entiendo por qué quedé tan maravillado si ya había ido muchas veces. Quizás olvidé lo bello, o quizás es porque en compañía de Hive, todo se ve mejor 😊
