My Most Enjoyable Day Celebrating My Aunt's Golden 50th Birthday

Yesterday we celebrated my Aunt's 50th day and others called this a Golden Birthday Celebration. A most exciting and enjoyable day I had in my life and expected to meet my cousin who live far from the Province for a very long time. This kind of occasions needs to get well prepared specially the decorations, kitchen utensils and foods since this is a surprise for her. My Aunt was having no ideas about the big surprise for her Birthday and all of this are keep secret and planned without noticing her. All she know was she will served lots of telapia fish, Bihon and Adobo dish for her guests and she did not know about the decorations, and other kinds of foods like cakes and cupcakes.

But before we put our plans into actions, we also do our traditional Simple birthday songs sung to my Aunt. Mañanita is the best traditional activity here where guests and friends will sing a birthday song early in the morning, giving flowers and candles. After that, a delicious bread and a hot coffee will served to guests. It takes almost an hour before the activity was finished and my Aunt invited them for a dinner here in her house.

The first thing we did was to catched lots of telapia fish, since this is my Aunts first dish she will served to the guests. Gladly my Cousins are willing to catched lots of it using this large fishing net and it was very easy to catch because it was only inside of the fish tank. After almost an hour, a big pail full of telapia fish was catched ready to clean. The cleaning activity was given the task to my Aunt's friends.

After almost an hour of cleaning the fish, they started to fry all of it. We are very happy that there are lots of people who helped us doing the job. We decided to fried it immediately so we can finish it on time so we can cook other dish for dinner.

While we kept ourselves busy cooking, suddenly a young Man bringing his sound system has been arrived. We already rented it and as my Aunt sees it, she was asking why there are sound systems installed at the waiting shed. But we kept more alibi so the surprise would not be ruined. We only told her that having music is also better so the celebration will not really quite.

The paper plated use for dinner are also set. We placed it in the plate holder so it wont easily folded and after that we wiped it with clean cloth. We decided to brought 100 pieces of paper plates because the holder counts only 100 pieces. It can save time of washing dishes.

My Aunt's elder sister also offered to buy meat and grind so we can make lumpia and using this lumpia ruler she order online few days ago we can easily rolled it in uniform length and sizes. Lumpia will be added for dish for dinner.

The Buko Salad are also well packed and my Aunt begin to wonder why there is lumpia and buko salad although she did not know that there is a salad and lumpia. Her neighbors also did their best to packed the salad so they can finish it on time and they can start singing using a videoke song.

The big surprise was slowly revailed when the cakes and decorations was arrived. My Aunt was not yet know about this because they went to the clothing shop just to buy golden gown. We fastly decorated it and placed the cakes at the long table. In order for not seeing this, we told my cousin to went back home on the other way.

It was already 4 in the afternoon when they started to have make up. The make up artist asked the birthday celebrant to do make up first so she can wear her gown. While we keep waiting other food that also the center of attraction. It takes almost an hour of doing make up and taking the gown.

Finally the main dish has arrived and this is the Lechon. Its has been arrived at exactly 7 in the evening and the guests are very excited to see the birthday celebrant wearing her gown. From simple dish served for the guest turns to a big banquet. All of this are a big surprise for her. As the MCEE called the Birthday celebrant, my Aunt together with my Uncle started to marched going to the venue.

As she sees all the food displayed at the table including the lechon, she was overjoyed and having a tears of joy. She really did not know all of this and only expected to have few kinds of dish for the guests. My Aunt and My Uncle also do sweet dance and after that, taking pictures, Birthday greetings and a short speech from my Aunt. She was very thankful for the big surprised given to her and it was the most enjoyable night I had.
