The height of Chandranath hill is approximately 1020 feet. There are two ways to climb Chandranath hill. The road on the right is almost entirely of stairs and the road on the left is almost entirely mountainous, with some broken stairs. It's easy to get up on the left side and down the stairs on the right, but you can use the path as you wish.
It is possible to see the Shiva temple as soon as you reach the top of Chandranath hill. But for this you have to cross more than 2200 stairs. In some places the stairs are so slippery and narrow that climbing can be dangerous. And you understand, if you move a little, you will slip and fall in the valley of the mountain.

After 15 minutes you will see a small fountain. On either side of which there are two paths which have risen to the very top of the hill. Easy to get to the left side path. It's easy to get off the path on the right. So you have to go up the path on the left side.

This road is completely hilly and has some broken stairs. And the path on the right is almost entirely a staircase that is quite difficult to climb. Many go up this path and come back half way.

But even if you have to cross such a difficult path, you will be fascinated by the unadulterated scenery surrounded by greenery. You can frame yourself with nature by taking pictures while climbing the mountain. Sometimes you can stop and rest in the tea shops.

You can enjoy the beauty of the hills while sipping a cup of hot tea. At the same time, you will hear the call of the birds sitting on the lap of the noiseless hill, the sound of the leaves of the trees in the wind. Because the place is so secluded that you will never want to return to this hustle and bustle of life.

You will see several tong shops at the foot of the hill. You can sit there and buy some food. There is also a rice hotel. If you want to eat, you have to order in advance while climbing the hill. You will be able to eat later when you come down from the hill. Put enough water and saline in the bag. Because it is difficult to get water in the temple. And even if found, the price is almost double.

After climbing for about an hour and a half, before reaching Chandranath temple, another temple named Birupaksha will be read. If you want you can take some rest there From here you will see a strange view of Sitakunda city and sea.

However, you will forget all the troubles in a moment after climbing over the Chandranath temple and seeing the surrounding scenery. Just green and green all around.

As if an artist paints with his skillful hands. You can see almost the whole of Sitakunda from here. Looking at the distant sea, your mind will be instantly absorbed in a divine feeling.

The temple is a place of pilgrimage for Hindus. Shiva linga is kept inside the temple. Many saints and monks sit and meditate around it. Some people worship. So rest here for a while without making a fuss. Because the next path is more terrible, more exciting.

Standing on the top of Chandranath hill you will see the sea on one side and the solitude of the hill on the other side. You will be fascinated and look at the green plants of the high and low hills. Eyes will be covered in peace.

How to go:
Get on any bus or train from Dhaka to Chittagong and get off at Sitakunda Bazaar in Chittagong. From Sitakunda Bazar you have to go to Chandranath hill by rickshaw fare of 20 Tk.
