Battlepass S8: A Solid Anubian Battlepass

Anubian Battlepass delivers!
Greetings everyone and welcome to a Gods Unchained post. It's been a while, but to be frank there hasn't been much to post about that isn't just "meta complaints at variety". So I've been holding my tongue and just doing my best to maintain interest in playing and streaming the game. I will probably start posting about the revival cards here and there to a degree as things continue to wind down for the game overall. Not looking forward to the next pack sale and it's mediocre numbers, but the battlepasses are honestly doing pretty decent (cards aside, purely talking aesthetics) and are directed at existing tribes and themes they know resonate with the playerbase. Good job.
The season 8 battlepass had ALL the anubian goodies you could want as an anubian player. An anubian death god portrait, an anubian promo card in diamond (which statistically is very well statted considering it's a promo),and an anubian manawheel and cardback.

The Loot: A Decent promo and Anubian visual items

The anubian visuals, as presented above, are well done and fit the theme of the god and archetype. I'm not surprised they are/were popular with the demographic in GU who goes crazy for anubians and have endured this entire time. The promo card itself is also worth adding to your collection.

It offers a 1/1 that belongs to the anubian tribe that summons a 1/4 structure. This is a 2/5 statline for 2 mana and shouldn't be trifled with. Just because everything has been powercreeped beyond the pale doesn't mean this is a useless or poorly statted card. We've just jumped the shark so anything they print now feels like water when it used to be hard liquor.

Talking Tidbits: Where to? What's happening?
Personally, I don't know where Gods Unchained is headed. I'm still going to keep playing it, but I'm probably going to put more Splinterlands/Ravenquest/Variety into my streaming docket for my own personal sanity and also to not dwell in GU. Gods Unchained has a lot of good memories for me, I met a lot of good people. I will probably play until the lights go out, but even this most recent battlepass I didn't "top out" at lvl 60. I think Rex's interest in Gods Unchained is diminishing so expect some breaks or vacations here while I focus on IRL or even other video games going forward. This is not a "I'm quitting" or a "GU sucks I'm out" little rant paragraph. It's just a notice that my interests are varied and me not playing GU isn't "a bad sign" or anything of the sort. I doubt GU will EVER truly "die" and if it does it will die siently. The fact there is any noise still being put out about the game is a good sign. The fact the lights are on are also a good sign. It's just not in a state where I want to put "main game" effort on it. Just some dailies here or there, nothing too crazy. I don't have ANY game I want to "get crazy" with the time dedication on right now to be honest. It might be time to put some singleplayer gems into the rotation etc. what do you guys think? Would you guys stick around if I gave away steam games etc.? What do you guys actually play outside of web3? I'd love to know.
Anyways thanks for reading this post and not having your face melt off due to it's horrid contents. You all rock and are what make HIVE worth posting to. I'll see you around in Eucos and elsewhere. Cheers, and until next time everyone.

Same here, but I am starting to wonder: How long will GU stay? By the way, I like the mana wheel up close.
