Maro is a girl who is filled with pride. She got influenced by her family just because they are all having the spirit of pride in them. They saw everyone as nothing just because they built the finest mansion in the vicinity they lived in. Everyone who is around them always comes out in tears. They have no good words in them. Maro always dressed well but with pride. She has never for once allowed men to come close to her. Although she is beautiful. Collins came from an average home and loves Maro to the brim. He can do anything and can go the extra mile just to have Maro.

Collins is the type of guy who loves to give to everyone in his locality. He is well known and every girl wants to have him, but he only has feelings for Maro. Collins' parents once told him to stop talking to Maro as she is proving too pompous and proud. Don't you know that the family of Maro are all filled up with pride? Everyone in the community knows their characters and no one would love to move close to them. So the best is to look elsewhere or else you will come crying one day, Collins' mother told him.

One fateful day, Collins decided to visit Maro and was given the best disgrace of his life. Who are you? Maro's father asked Collins. Collins replied I'm Collins, the son of Mr Peter. Oh...oh...do you mean that wretched man who cannot feed his children? Collins was dumbfounded and was short of words. So, Collins was boiling inside of him just because of the kind of disgrace Maro and her dad gave to him and indeed he stopped talking to her and stopped paying her visit.

Richard is a guy from a rich home. He has always had the mind of coming to his hometown to get himself a woman that will give him joy. He began to search for one but ended up seeing Maro being the old friend. Hmm… you are looking so beautiful unlike back in the days, Richard said to Maro. I'm thinking you are flattering me. Maro replied. I'm not joking, I mean what I'm saying. So, how are your parents? Hope they're all great and good? Yes, they are, Maro responded. Wow...I'm thinking of visiting you. What do you say about it? Are mine welcome or what do you say? Richard asked. My dad will be very happy to see you. You know it's been a long now since you left this town? I don't think my mum can still recognize you. Maro responded with a calm voice.

The following day, Richard had to set by telling his mum about where he was going. His mum supported him to the fullest and he was so happy and was thinking he had seen his life partner. When he got to Mario's house, he saw the unexpected. Maro's maid brought food just for them to eat and immediately she fled up and she began to say what she was not supposed to say to the maid which got Richard surprised. He could not. say a word but was left speechless. In his mind, was saying "is this the kind of woman I want to marry"? Thank God I have not made my intention known to her. It was so pathetic that he got to know her character. She did not stop but decided to pour her maid the water she used to wash her hands. The maid is a beautiful girl and Richard admired her since Maro has no character.

When Richard was coming from a friend's house, he saw Patricia coming from the market. He decided to talk to her. Who are your parents in this Community? Richard asked Pat. I'm from Gabriel's family. Pat replied. Wow… I think I knew your family very well. Then why are you working in maro's house? Richard asked. I'm just there to earn a little money for my family. That's great. Richard responded. I wish to know you better. Should I come to your house, maybe tomorrow or so? Richard asked. I will only.be at home on Sundays. If you wish to come on Sunday, that will.be better. Pat said to Richard.

It was just two days to Sunday when Pat decided to go to Pat's house. Luckily he met Pat. Thank God I met you at home. Pat's parent's welcome Richard to the fullest. Which family are you from? Richard responded "my parents are chief and Mrs Dennis. That's great. I have heard about the good your family has been doing for people around this Community. Pat's dad replied.

It was two months after knowing each other, Richard asked Pat if she could be his wife. Please, don't object. Richard told Pat. What about Maro.? Are you? Is it with Maro any longer? Pat asked. I did not tell Maro if I wanted to marry her. I only told you about it but not Maro. Richard was very much comfortable while asking Pat out. It means you have to see my parents discuss what you just said. Pat responded.
The next week, he went to Pat's house with his parents to visit Pat. Pat's parents welcomed them and indeed it was a great day for Richard. They did the marriage formalities and got married after five days of seeing Pat's parents.

Maro was surprised to see the man who she thought loved her marrying another woman. She could not hold it but burst into tears. She could not know what to do and no man was coming close to her and so decided to walk up to Collins who was initially falling for her. Unfortunately, Collins has seen another girl whom he wanted to get married to. This got her seriously angry and had the intention of killing herself. Her dad on the other hand was not helping issues as he was the one who caused bad behaviour to his daughter.

Sometimes, our character is the one that our children copy. This is why we should try as much as we can to change our character to a better one.
