Steve Jobs was known for his black turtle neck t-shirt. Eliose is always in her suspendered jumper. Babar rocks his green suit and crown and Madeline always in her little yellow raincoat. Without asking these fellas questions, the world already know them for wearing the same type of cloth everyday of their lives
?

If I had to wear the same cloth everyday for the rest of my life, what will I choose

I never at any point in my life thought of a thing like this but whether consciously or unconsciously, I think many people are always confortable wearing a particular cloth over and over again. I discovered most of my cloths are long sleeve buttoned down t-shirts and almost 90% of them are white. I like the colour because it goes well with virtually all my pants and jeans irrespective of the color. The only thing I would need to consider is my shoe and belt so I won't be having a colour riot

I discovered my love for longsleeve buttoned down t-shirts when I was in high school. My school uses a short sleev t-shirt but I prefer the long. When I eventually became a prefect I was happy because school prefects wear long sleeve on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. I hate Tuesdays and Thursdays because I won't be in my long sleeve shirt

My reasons

It makes me look smart, decent and it's more formal:

If you meet anyone for the first time, there would be first impression. We are addressed by the way we are dressed. I've been on some sorts of wears and found I was addressed based on what I put on. A friend took me out to a club and at the gate, he was bounced back while I was allowed to enter. He paid for my ticket for the party. He's far bouyant than I do, but I was accorded the respect he deserved on that spot. I was putting on my long sleeve button down t-shirt and a pant trouser as usual and he was on three quarter shorts and a white round neck shirt with a sneaker and his panama cap. So each time I'm out, I can fit into many occasions without worrying to change my outfit. Most times, it goes with all my outing

Easy adjustment

I learned how to use sewing machine when I was in high school. I used mum's machine for two things. I sew my torn trousers and amend my shirt to the size I want. I don't like wearing big clothes. The long sleeve shirts are easier to amend because of their texture than the round neck made of whool. In fact, once the round neck is not fitted as I want, I throw it out of my box but no matter how big my long sleeve shirts are, I adjust them and I'm always confortable with it. The shirts I'm wearing in all the pictures were amended by me. I don't know how to do any other thing in tailoring but I think I would merit a medal if there's an olympic for T-shirt amendment competition.

I'm comfortable wearing it in both weathers:

We have two seasons here (rainy and dry season). During the dry season, the sun in the north can be as hot as 40 to 50 degrees. The hot weather makes me dehydrated easily but with my long sleeve shirt, heat is trapped and it makes me not lose too much water so I stay a little dehydrated compared to when the heat dry off and another is produced continously. And besides, the hot weather causes sun burn so with long sleeve shirt, and a trouser, small part of the body is exposed

The rainy season is when the weather is cold. This is when you see people going around in sweaters. I don't have a sweater and the only pullover I have has been under my box for a long time. I wear my long sleeve shirt during this period but I would only make sure I wear an underwear and button up completely

Let me say something a bit funny here but it's the truth. Apart from all the reasons mentioned, wearing a buttoned down long sleeve shirt makes the police in Nigeria respect you especially when you are in their office. They are always affraid to misbehave because they don't know who you are. I could differentiate the days I went putting on my sport wears to the days I go in my usual t-shirt. We have several funny characters here and we all know how to deal with it. LOL.

We all wear what we feel is the best and most importantly what makes us comfortable. If there's no other outfit for me, I can easily live on with my long sleeve shirts with ease.

Thanks buddy. I learned how to use the sewing machine when my mum refused to help with the adjustment and the little skill acquired helps me a lot today. I prefer doing my things rather than allowing someone else give me the shape I wouldn't like. Best regards boss.
