International Wine Exposition in Taipei

I attended an international wine expo in Taipei. The international wine expo held at the Taipei World Trade Center has attracted the largest number of attendees in recent years, mainly due to the easing of the pandemic and people's desire to go out and have some fun.

Based on my experience attending wine expos before, it's better to bring your own wine glasses, although the organizers will provide tasting glasses. However, too many people want to get their hands on those glasses, so you may end up spending a lot of time waiting in line to get them. And when it's time to leave, you'll have to queue up again to return the glasses, which could take hours in total. It's just not worth it. If you bring your own glasses, you can enter the exhibition hall directly and start tasting the different wine at each booth.

This year's selection of alcoholic beverages includes wine, whiskey, beer, sake, fruit wine, sparkling wine, and more. I'm particularly interested in trying the chocolate wine that I had a few years ago. Chocolate wine is not only fragrant and sweet, but also very unique. Perhaps because most people have more free time on weekends, it was easy to wander around in the morning when I first arrived.


However, after half an hour, the crowds started pouring in, and every booth was packed with people eager to taste the various beverages. In addition to the free tastings, some drinks required payment.


Furthermore, they were also selling German pork knuckles and sausages to pair with the wine, making it a happy and satisfying weekend. The only problem for me was the huge crowds because of weekends. I think it might be less crowding during workdays.
