The Best of the Beanies, in no particular order - they were all so good!

The trash of some is the treasure of others by @susurrodmisterio

The reason is simple, but also powerful, to continue amassing great fortunes, they must exterminate the people who have creative freedom, it is necessary to turn them into useless sheep, without the capacity to think, invent or do wonderful things, of course for that they need to kill inspiration and hope, they have to destroy coffee and all the magic that its aroma brings with it.

A Coffee to Heal by @ungranulises

When I'm playing the judge I forget that tomorrow it could be me, the victim of prejudice. I need a coffee to relax and move on. The truth is that these unfortunate events remind me of those people in high school who had problems with my presence, I remember perfectly their names and surnames, for a long time I asked for justice, and then, in my prayer and healing process, I asked for mercy.

What Did You Hear About Closure by @jhymi

After the close of work, I went down to the coffee shop. It was my routine since I worked nearby so it wasn’t like someone was on my mind as I breezed into Caldaman’s that evening, walking like a girl on a mission. This was true because I wasn’t about to fall for that high-school charm.

I reached for an old grinder I had stored in a small room. I had a few beans in storage left over from my experiments; it wasn't enough to make much coffee, but enough to serve two cups. When I returned to the nursery, I noticed that the capsule of my modified coffee beans was open, and then I spotted a plastic bottle with water spilt next to them. Marianne was nowhere to be seen and I panicked. I imagined the worst so I went looking for her.

In recent days the AI advised one of the few humans controlling the world's great fortune to add an insect concentrate to coffee to add nutrients and increase prices. Soon that became a new formula that took regular coffee off the shelves and positioned insect-based coffee. The truth is that I tried this new invention and vomited 1 bora in a row. It was the most horrible thing that mankind could have invented after instant coffee.

Coffee Cricket by @jetta.amaya

The transgenic laboratories of Coffee Cricket bought up all the producing land and processing factories that posed a threat to their emporium. Now the most commercialized beverage is the unpleasant artificial coffee of Coffee Cricket, whose flavour does not equal that of natural coffee and whose addictive effects are similar to those of any synthetic drug, starting from a slight tremor in the hands to the most severe madness.

Immediately upon taking a seat, I told him I didn't have much time and to please be brief. The first thing she did was to order two lattes with vanilla and a touch of cinnamon just the way I like it, then she thanked me for my presence. He immediately apologized to me for the immature action of disappearing ten years ago and throwing the relationship overboard, college life made him lose his bearings and when he regained them he was too embarrassed to return, while I listened in silence and enjoyed the coffee.

I wanted to run away, I was sure I was going to be shot at point-blank range.
Silence filled the air for a few seconds, but for me, it felt like hours and my best way out was to ask him what he wanted to drink. She told me to choose mine and my mind wandered to the Mocaccino, an excellent coffee combined with chocolate to sweeten any beast. I asked the waiter for two.

"Hey friend," she said cheerily and kissed my cheek. "Let's go for a cuppa at Crest Café. I love their crispy chicken baguette."
That was how Emily and I sat at a corner table close to the glass wall in the café. I didn't know when she ordered but a waiter brought two cups of espresso.
I couldn't take my eyes off her neck.
