Hello Actifitters!

Have you tried eating a fertilized duck egg? We were strolling earlier when we saw a balut vendor pass by. It's been a while since I ate one, so I suddenly missed it. There were a few people eating the balut around the vendor, but I couldn't do the same. I wanted to enjoy eating it without someone hurrying me up because I was with my kids, and they happened to be disgusted by the looks of the fertilized egg.

I ordered two "balut sa puti," or the ones with the smaller chicks inside. I confirmed it with the vendor because I asked him three times if it's the "balut sa puti," and he confidently answered yes. I was excited to eat it when we arrived home. After I got the vinegar and the salt, I started cracking the egg open. I was surprised to see a chick almost ready to hatch! The vendor lied! I will confront him tomorrow! Just kidding, I'll never buy from him again. I couldn't bear to eat the chicks, so I just ate the yellow yolk.

You got me the one thing I haven't tried Balut. Don't know if I can hold it and bring it to my mouth 😂 I don't know I've tried a lot of exotic things this one I don't think I can succeed at.

Lol! You can do it! Try eating with your eyes closed; that's how I did it the first time. 🤣
