One of the best anime of the year and one of the most awaited by the community of fans of this type of series. It all starts a normal day in which a young man named Naofumi Iwatani opens a strange book in which the legend of 4 mysterious heroes with special mystical weapons for each one, destined to greatness, these tools are sword, spear, bow and shield, but without realizing Naofumi is taken to that world and is given the Scudo, with the particularity that this is the worst weapon of all, being this the only one that is exclusively defensive without attack characteristics.

The mission of these heroes is to protect the kingdom from the calamity that is coming according to the legend, therefore they are supplied with companions and gold to undertake such a hard mission. Naofumi was totally abandoned, since it is considered that the "Hero of the shield" is the weakest of all, therefore thanks to a trick is deprived of its benefits, accused of immoral and worse things transforming it into a cold person without heart, it is here where our hero is predisposed for the mission to only take care of himself and take revenge on all those who lashed out against him.

In this incredible world full of magic and adventure Will our Hero of the Shield be able to ascend and obtain glory?

  • Note: The anime is very similar to SAO, as it has the theme of an RPG to level up, collect items and this kind of things.

This anime was passed to me by a friend some time ago and the truth is that because of the name I did not feel very comfortable with it, however, since I had nothing to do at that time I dedicated myself to watch it and I was totally addicted to watch it, it is very good and hooked as few anime do, highlighting that this is only with the first chapter, which ended in a total marathon to finish it.

In addition, words are enough to define how incredible the plot is, battles and emotions, an anime totally different from what we usually find, to see a protagonist so marginalized and observe how he faces absolutely all the adversities that can be imagined for his survival, in this story we will not find a hero or an antihero, we will see the development of a person who faces alone against the world.

  • Emotions: This is an anime filled with a lot of emotion and feeling, something that is so palpable, like love, devotion, anger and contempt, so all this rain of emotions are commonly appreciated in this beautiful story to see how a character develops from the lowest to the highest.

  • Animations: The scenes are quite fluid is something very appreciable in this installment, as both the battles and the scenarios are perfectly animated to the really good level, although it is not made by UFOTABLE (Studio that animates Kimetsu No Yaiba), the drawing style is very rewarding for those who see it.

  • Story: I already gave you the "Synopsis", as usual, however, I highlight this part, since I love it, it is a story that we can see developed to such a plot level, normally characters of this type tend to change very easily or their story is based on a drastic plot change, but this does not happen with this work, so, it is totally amazing to see how the story evolves.

Scenarios

These are incredible, they have an exceptional smoothness and perfect lighting to illustrate different landscapes, such as fields, meadows, castles, dungeons, decaying cities and a rather messy empire overwhelmed by the recurring despair of an end. Depending on the scenario and the area, our protagonist will be able to find certain enemies which even increase their abilities depending on the area.

In my opinion it is one of the best anime in terms of atmosphere, totally polished and clean.

Weapons

In this diverse world, full of magic and weapons, there is a great diversity of them almost infinitely, we can find wizards, knights, spearmen, bards and all kinds of combat styles. The special weapons that our heroes get and their class, in my opinion is very complete, it is also excellent, since all this kind of things give more variety to the battles.

  • Legendary Weapons: The weapons of the prophecy given to the 4 heroes mentioned above, these weapons have special abilities and evolutionary characteristics to increase their capacity in battle for each level that the heroes raise, in addition, another way to make them more powerful is by collecting objects.

  • Magic: An important element in every anime of this style, magic gives a touch of genius to each combat, as it is very colorful, or at least in this anime it is, with seals, chants and different peculiarities, the magic in this world is totally elegant and cool.

  • Commons: I call common to all other weapons that are presented in this story as swords, whips, mittens, daggers etc.. While the magic and mythical weapons are totally awesome and leave us glued to the screen, these little details are also necessary.

Battles

With so many unique and incredible characteristics to develop in a combat, the battles that are around our beloved Hero of the shield, are totally cool and overwhelming, for example inside dungeons facing different monsters, looking to level up with improvised attacks, since it only has defense, to fight with the same humans of that world in the company of his group of companions, although here the individual battles are great, the group confrontations are much better, a total display of technique and motivation.

Characters

We arrived at my favorite section, it's time to talk about the incredible characters of this story, in this case my choice if it was a little easier, since my favorites are very clear, also the one I hate the most should be highlighted.

  • Naofumi Iwatani: Our beloved and hated protagonist of this great story, nominated as the "Hero of the Shield " and crowned with the same, this young man is transported to a strange world and is given a duty, which is to become stronger and stronger to defend this land. This being of a noble heart is forced to wear black thanks to the contempt and hatred that is imbued upon him and forced to survive alone in a world that is totally unknown to him, in which he will survive at all costs. ***How will this young man who is neither a hero nor a villain develop?

  • Raphtalia: This young semi-human girl with the appearance of a raccoon, was a small slave girl who was acquired by Naofumi and trained by him to serve as the "Sword" of her owner, who does not have great attacking characteristics. This girl evolves in a beautiful way both in strength and development thanks to her master, who feeds her, gives her clothes and weapons so that she becomes a fighter par excellence, with a big heart and love for her Hero, she will face anything to protect him. ***Will Raphtalia be able to protect her master?

  • Malty Melromarc: One of the companions of the hero of the Spear, this is the character I hate the most in the whole series, but she plays an important role, because it is thanks to her that Naofumi falls into disgrace and dishonor due to her disgusting plan to benefit her hero, which fills you with anger and many other emotions. It's not all that bad though, as she is a skilled and cunning wielder of a swift and lethal whip, being capable of anything to achieve her goal. ***Will she fulfill her dirty plans?

A great delivery in my opinion, which soon in April we will receive a second season that I hope will be full of emotion and feeling like the first one. The truth is that this anime left me very surprised, as I did not expect it to be so extremely good, both in the plot, aesthetics, the theme, all these factors merge into a single story to give us something totally amazing to see. For lovers of this kind of stories, I really recommend it.

Uno de los mejores animes de su año y de los más esperados por la comunidad seguidora de este tipo de series. Todo empieza un día normal en el que un joven llamado Naofumi Iwatani abre un extraño libro en el que se narra la leyenda de 4 héroes misteriosos con armas místicas especiales para cada uno, destinados a la grandeza, estas herramientas son espada, lanza, arco y escudo, pero sin darse cuenta Naofumi es llevado a ese mundo y se le otorga el Escudo, con la particularidad de que esta es la peor arma de todas, siendo esta la única que es exclusivamente defensiva sin características de ataque.

La misión de estos héroes es proteger el reino de la calamidad que se avecina según la leyenda, por ende son suministrados de compañeros y oro para emprender tan dura misión. Naofumi fue totalmente abandonado, ya que se considera que el "Héroe del escudo" es el más débil de todos, por ende gracias a una treta es privado de sus beneficios, acusado de inmoral y cosas peores transformándolo en una persona fría sin corazón, es aquí donde nuestro héroe se predispone para la misión de solo cuidar de sí mismo y vengarse de todos los que arremetieron contra él.

En este increíble mundo lleno de magia y aventuras ¿Podrá nuestro Héroe del Escudo ascender y obtener la gloria?

  • Nota: El anime es muy similar a SAO, ya que tiene la temática de un RPG para subir de nivel, recolectar objetos y este tipo de cosas.

Este anime me lo paso un amigo hace algún tiempo y la verdad por el nombre no me sentía muy a gusto con el mismo, sin embargo, ya que no tenía nada que ver en ese momento me dedique a verlo y quede totalmente viciada al observarlo, es muy bueno y engancha como pocos animes lo hacen, resaltando que, esto es solo con el primer capítulo, lo que termino en un maratón total para terminarlo.

Además, las palabras sobran para definir lo increíble que es la trama, batallas y emociones, un anime totalmente distinto a lo que nos encontramos normalmente, ver a un protagonista tan marginado y observar como se enfrenta absolutamente a todas las adversidades que se puedan imaginar con tal de su supervivencia, en esta historia no nos encontraremos con un héroe o un antihéroe, veremos el desarrollo de una persona que se enfrenta sola contra el mundo.

  • Emociones: Este es un anime lleno de bastante emoción y sentimiento, algo que es tan palpable, como el amor, devoción, ira y el desprecio, por lo que toda esta lluvia de emociones son comúnmente apreciables en esta hermosa historia al ver como se desarrolla un personaje desde lo más bajo hasta lo más alto.

  • Animaciones: Las escenas están bastante fluidas es algo muy apreciable en esta entrega, ya que tanto las batallas y los escenarios son perfectamente animados al nivel realmente bueno, si bien no está hecho por UFOTABLE (Estudio que anima Kimetsu No Yaiba), el estilo de dibujo es muy gratificante para quien lo ve.

  • Historia: Ya les di la "Sinopsis", como siempre, sin embargo, destaco esta parte, puesto que me encanta, es una historia que podemos ver desarrollada a tal nivel argumental, normalmente los personajes de este tipo tienden a cambiar muy fácilmente o su historia se basa en un cambio argumental drástico, pero esto no sucede con esta obra, así que, es totalmente sorprendente ver como evoluciona la historia.

Escenarios

Estos son Increíbles, tienen una suavidad excepcional e iluminación perfecta para ilustrarnos distintos paisajes, como campos, praderas, castillos, mazmorras, ciudades en decadencia y un imperio bastante desordenado abrumado por la desesperación recurrente de un fin. Dependiendo el escenario y la zona, nuestro protagonista podrá encontrar ciertos enemigos los cuales aumentan incluso sus habilidades dependiendo el área.

En mi opinión es uno de los mejores animes en cuanto a ambientación se trata, totalmente pulida y limpia.

Armas

En este diverso mundo, lleno de magia y armas, existen una gran diversidad de las mismas casi que de forma infinita, podemos encontrarnos con hechiceros, caballeros, lanceros, bardos y todo tipo de estilos de combate. Las armas especiales que obtienen nuestros héroes y su justa clase, en mi opinión está muy completo, además es excelente, ya que todo este tipo de cosas le dan más variedad a las batallas.

  • Armas Legendarias: Las armas de la profecía entregadas a los 4 héroes antes mencionadas, estas armas tienen habilidades especiales y características evolutivas para aumentar su capacidad en batalla por cada nivel que suban los mismos héroes, además, otra manera de hacerlas más poderosas es recolectando objetos.

  • Magia: Un elemento importante en todo tipo de anime de este estilo, la magia le otorga un toque de genialidad a cada combate, ya que es muy vistosa, o al menos en este anime si lo es, con sellos, cánticos y distintas peculiaridades, la magia en este mundo es totalmente elegante y genial.

  • Comunes: Llamo comunes a todas las demás armas que se presentan en esta historia como espadas, látigos, manoplas, dagas etc. Si bien la magia y armas míticas son totalmente increíbles y nos deja pegados a la pantalla, también son necesarios estos pequeños detalles.

Batallas

Con tantas características únicas e increíbles para desarrollar en un combate, las batallas que están en torno a nuestro querido Héroe del escudo, son totalmente geniales y abrumadoras, por ejemplo dentro de mazmorras enfrentando a distintos monstruos, buscando subir de nivel con ataques improvisados, ya que solo cuenta con defensa, hasta combatir con los mismos humanos de ese mundo en compañía de su grupo de acompañantes, si bien aquí las batallas individuales son geniales, los enfrentamientos grupales son mucho mejores, un total despliegue de técnica y motivación.

Personajes

Llegamos a mi sección favorita, es momento de hablar sobre los increíbles personajes de esta historia, en este caso mi elección si fue un poco más sencilla, ya que mis favoritos están muy claros, también al que más odie cabe destacar.

  • Naofumi Iwatani: Nuestro querido y odiado protagonista de esta gran historia, nominado como el "Héroe del Escudo" y coronado con el mismo, este joven es transportado a un mundo extraño y se le otorga un deber, el cual es volverse cada vez más fuerte para defender esta tierra. Este siendo de un noble corazón es forzado a vestirse de negro gracias al desprecio y odio que es imbuido sobre este y forzado a sobrevivir solo en un mundo que es totalmente desconocido para él, en el cual sobrevivirá a toda costa. ¿Cómo se desarrollará este joven que no es héroe ni villano?

  • Raphtalia: Esta joven semi-humana con apariencia de mapache, era una pequeña niña esclava que fue adquirida por Naofumi y entrenada por el mismo para que esta sirva como la "Espada" de su dueño, el cual no tiene grandes características de ataque. Esta chica evoluciona de una manera hermosa tanto en fuerza como en desarrollo gracias a su maestro, el cual la alimenta, da ropa y armas para que esta se vuelva toda una combatiente por excelencia, con un gran corazón y amor por su Héroe se enfrentara a lo que sea para protegerlo. ¿Será capaz Raphtalia de proteger a su maestro?

  • Malty Melromarc: Una de las acompañantes del héroe de la Lanza, esta es el personaje que más odie en toda la serie, pero que cobra un papel importante, ya que gracias a ella es que Naofumi cae en la desgracia y la deshonra debido a su asqueroso plan para beneficiar más a su héroe, cosa que te llena de ira y muchas otras emociones. Aunque no es todo tan malo, puesto que es una hábil y astuta portadora de un veloz y letal látigo, siendo capaz de lo que sea por lograr su objetivo. ¿Cumplirá sus sucios planes?

Una gran entrega en mi opinión, la cual próximamente en el mes de abril según se dice, recibiremos una segunda temporada que espero esté plagada de emoción y sentimiento al igual que la primera. La verdad este anime me dejo muy sorprendida, ya que no esperaba que fuera tan sumamente bueno, tanto en lo argumental, lo estético, la temática, todos estos factores se fusionan en una sola historia para darnos algo totalmente increíble de ver. Para los amantes de este tipo de historias, realmente lo recomiendo.
