CREATIVE-SUNDAY: COOKING MY SPECIAL CHEESY NUTTY MAJA BLANCA

Hello everyone. Before I share my special recipe, I would like to say thank you to the person who invited me to join at #creative-sunday, thank you @prayzz. I am happy to join here and thank you for noticing my post and trusting me.

Today is Sunday without work and school. it is usually called family day or family gathering. Each family has a different way of bonding. Some families after church go to a restaurant to eat, some go to the beach and enjoy themselves there, others go to the park to have a picnic and others just stay at home like us. What we do is prepare our favorite foods and desserts. One of my prepared desserts is Cheesy nutty creamy maja blanca. It is special to me because it is favorite of my husband and daughter. Other than their favorite, it's also one of my sources of income. I really studied this dish until I perfected it. And I was very happy that day because they liked it. And I was even happier when I first sold it and made a profit. I didn't think I was making money from what I learned.

Let's go back to my recipe that will be shared with you today. We need to prepare the ingredients.

INGREDIENTS

Coconut milk
Sweet corn
Condense milk
Evaporated milk
Sugar
Cheese
Salted peanuts
Cornstarch

RECIPE

3 cups coconut milk
200 grams corn starch
1 can condense milk
1 can Evaporated milk
1 can whole sweet corn
1/2 cup sugar
Grated cheese
Crushed peanuts

PREPARATION

  • First break the coconut and grate it.

  • Add water, squeeze and strain. Keep aside.

  • Open the cornstarch and add a cup of water and stir. Keep it aside.

  • Open the can of sweet corn and strain it.

  • Also open the can of condensed milk and evaporated milk.

  • Prepare half a cup of sugar.

  • Grate the cheese and keep it aside.

  • Crush the peanuts and keep it aside as well.

COOKING

  • Prepare a clean pan. The first thing to put is coconut milk.

  • Follow the condensed milk.

  • Follow immediately with Evaporated milk.

  • And the same goes for the sweet corn.

  • And follow the sugar and stir.

  • Turn on the stove to high flame and boil it.

  • And if it boils, adjust the stove in low flame and add the melted cornstarch.

  • Stir until it thickens.

  • And if it thickens, remove it from fire and transfer it to a clean bowl and let it cool before adding peanuts and cheese as toppings. And cool it in the fridge.

I would have said it's something I will like to prepare at home but that would be a lie because I'm always too lazy to cook anything for myself 😂
