HOLA DE NUEVO, TRONCOS!

Desde siempre me ha gustado el terror y el suspenso, y es por ello que considero a Octubre como mi mes favorito. La festividad del Halloween me encanta, y siento que no la he aprovechado para nada este año, por lo que hace par de días tomé la iniciativa de hacer un dibujo con temática siniestra.

Se me ocurrió la idea de hacer una especie de Rey Espectral, por lo que empecé a revisar referencias por la web. Observé de todo, desde diseños para tatuajes terroríficos, como diseños de personajes o esqueletos de series como “Bleach”, “Soul Eater” e incluso “The Walking Dead”.

Fue una búsqueda muy enriquecedora, ya que aclaró mis ideas y conceptos. Y fue así como nació: Espectro, el nuevo personaje original que quiero presentarles el día de hoy. El resultado final me encantó muchísimo, y espero de corazón les guste tanto como a mí.

HELLO AGAIN, TRUNKS!

I have always liked terror and suspense, and that is why I consider October my favorite month. I love the Halloween holiday, and I feel that I have not taken advantage of it at all this year, so a couple of days ago I took the initiative to make a drawing with a sinister theme.

I came up with the idea of making a kind of Spectral King, so I started checking references on the web. I checked everything. From terrifying tattoo designs, such as character designs or skeletons from series like “Bleach”, “Soul Eater” and even “The Walking Dead”.

It was a very enriching search, because it clarified my ideas and concepts. And that's how it was born: Spectre, the new original character that I want to introduce to you today. I loved the end result very much, and I sincerely hope you like it as much as I do.

Step by Step:

Primero, comencé dibujando un boceto rápido del personaje.

First, I started by drawing a quick sketch of the character.

Luego, definí las líneas y formas básicas de su craneo y resto de detalles, para poder empezar con el lineart. Estos primeros procesos siempre suelen ser los más tardados a mi parecer, debido a que me tomo con mucho cuidado el pulir a detalle mis diseños antes del coloreado.

Then, I defined the basic lines and shapes of his skull and other details, to be able to start with the lineart. These first processes are always the longest in my opinion, because I take great care in polishing my designs in detail before coloring.

Decidí colorear de último el cráneo del espectro, ya que me tomé un tiempo buscando el rojo especifico que quería para su color base. Después de ello, coloreé el fondo y coloqué mi firma en la ilustración.

I decided to color the specter skull last, because I took a while to find the specific red I wanted for my base color. After that, I colored the background and put my signature on the illustration.
