Hace unos días navegando por Pinterest me encontré con una sesión de fotos a músicos callejeros que me fascinó. Presentaban un concepto muy interesante protagonizado por músicos con instrumentos clásicos en zonas callejeras, y me voló por completo la cabeza.
Me pareció un concepto muy atractivo y me inspiró mucho, por lo que decidí versionar una de esas fotografías presentadas en la sesión. Se trataba de un violinista algo mayor, en medio de la acera, con una mirada peculiar.
Ya con la fotografía seleccionada, decidí realizar mi versión. La verdad me encantó el resultado final, y considero quedó muy interesante, por lo que sin más dilación les presento el “Paso a Paso” de mi versión de la fotografía, a la cual decidí llamar: “La Desolada Alma de un Violinista”.
A few days ago while browsing Pinterest I came across a photo shoot of street musicians that fascinated me. They presented a very interesting concept starring musicians with classical instruments in street areas, and it completely blew my mind.
I thought it was a very attractive concept and it inspired me a lot, so I decided to version one of those photographs presented in the session. It was about a somewhat older violinist, in the middle of the sidewalk, with a peculiar look.
Once the photograph was selected, I decided to make my version. I really loved the final result, and I think it was very interesting, so without further ado I present the "Step by Step" of my version of the photograph, which I decided to call: "The Desolate Soul of a Fiddler".
Step by Step:
Lo primero que realicé para este nuevo proyecto, fue ilustrar un boceto bastante rústico de nuestro protagonista, en donde se pudiera apreciar su pose completo, con un fondo de color gris acentuando la soledad en la obra.
The first thing I did for this new project was to illustrate a rather rustic sketch of our protagonist, where you could appreciate his full pose, with a gray colored background accentuating the loneliness in the work.
Luego, definí detalles importantes en el boceto como su rostro, ropa e instrumento, además de agregar un estuche de violín en el suelo.
Then, I defined important details in the sketch such as her face, clothes and instrument, as well as adding a violin case on the floor.
Continué con el Line Art del violinista, dejando todo listo para el coloreado del proyecto. Ya de lleno en el coloreado, empecé agregando sombras fuertes al protagonista, ya que quería enfatizar en las sombras y brillos.
I continued with the line art of the violinist, leaving everything ready for the coloring of the project. I started adding strong shadows to the main character, as I wanted to emphasize the shadows and highlights.
Ya habiendo finalizado el coloreado del violinista, decidí enfocarme en el fondo. Comencé colocando una base de color azul, a la cual le fui agregando sombras de color negro generando un intento de manchas que pudieran asemejar las siluetas de los peatones de la calle.
Having finished coloring the violinist, I decided to focus on the background. I started by placing a blue base, to which I added black shadows, generating an attempt of spots that could resemble the silhouettes of the pedestrians in the street.
Luego, definí dichas sombras y mejoré detalles en general, teniendo como resultado un fondo bastante de mi agrado.
Then, I defined those shadows and improved details in general, resulting in a background quite to my liking.
Por último, coloqué a nuestro protagonista encima de dicho fondo y agregué mi firma en la parte superior del lienzo. También decidí agregar textura al fondo, y la edité con el efecto de Arpilla, para generar una sensación de ruido en la imagen.
Finally, I placed our protagonist on top of the background and added my signature at the top of the canvas. I also decided to add texture to the background, and edited it with the Arpilla effect, to generate a sense of noise in the image.
De esta manera, doy por finalizado el post. Amé la expresión y estilo del protagonista, considero es un trabajo que transmite una soledad particular y estoy conforme con el resultado. Me gusto mucho jugar con los colores en el fondo generando la calle y las sombras, y me gustaría poder hacer más cosas como esta. This is the end of this post. I loved the expression and style of the protagonist, I consider it a work that transmits a particular loneliness and I'm happy with the result. I really liked playing with the colors in the background generating the street and the shadows, and I would like to do more things like this.
