Throwback To Finding My first Geocache
It feels like only yesterday when I found my first ever Geocache I can remember so many details it remains very fresh in my brain and so I am writing it on paper and sharing to the community.
I joined Geocaching back in February this year (12/2/23) to be precise, It was A cold winter night and we where just heading back from our coastal trip but on the journey we made A quick stop at tesco for some food and that was when we spoke about mobile games and the word Geocaching came up.
I must have been living under a rock all my childhood because I have never heard of this before and finding out about it got me excited and being A big pokemon Go fan which is known to involve being outdoors all the time geocaching sounded right up my street.
After installation and getting set up we noticed A cache right nearby and I wanted to get it to experience what Geocaching is like and so we walked up A short road and near the main road my phone vibrated to let me know I'm within 10 metres of the Cache.
After reading the hint it was clear that the cache was hiding in this cool boat that is by the side of the road and half overgrown, It acts as A memorial for something but I can't quite remember and the gentleman that added this also added A cache.
After A quick search my eyes lit up when I found it normally I don't like bugs but when I was tasked to find A geocache I went for it and wasn't afraid and my persistence paid off because the cache I found was in great conditon.
It was amazing to find the cache and shortly after finding the cache during the drive home I invested into their premium subscription and today I have exactly 162 total finds. I love Geocaching!
Thank you for taking time to read my post

What's geocaching?
Great question! Geocaching is A game where you will need a GPS device mainly A phone and with that, you can locate and find geocaches on the app that other players have placed. Caches vary in size, difficulty, and terrain, making it a fun outdoor activity.
This guide sums up everything in a short video https://www.geocaching.com/sites/education/en/
Hmmm..
Maybe I'll check it out
Cool as thanks for setting up a geocaching community, I was first introduced to it when my son was doing scouting. We only ever found a few while we were out and about bit it was fun. I will have to find and remember my log in and see if there is any new one around us.
