Cienfuegos, the city I like the most (Eng-Esp)
Hello to all travelers around the world! Today I want to share the tour my husband and I took in the summer of 2016 through Cienfuegos a beautiful province of Cuba, one of the most beautiful cities in the Caribbean.

The historic center of the city of Cienfuegos Bay is composed of beautiful colonial buildings.
El casco histórico de la ciudad de la bahía de Cienfuegos, esta compuesto de hermosos edificios coloniales.

The José Martí Square is located in the center of the historic center. Here we can find monuments that represent the history of Cuba and the statue of the hero of the homeland.
La plaza José Martí, se encuentra en el centro del casco histórico. Aquí podemos encontrar monumentos que representan la historia de Cuba y la estatua del prócer de la patria.
Community meetings, educational workshops and cultural performances such as plays and live music are held in this dome.
En esta cúpula se hacen reuniones de la comunidad, se dictan talleres educativos y hacen representaciones culturales como obras de teatro y música en vivo.
El hermoso paseo El prado, recorre una gran parte de la ciudad y conecta con el malecón. En el recorrido pueden encontrarse la estatua a Benny Moré que fue un músico icónico de la ciudad y compuso la famosa canción Cienfuegos, la ciudad que más me gusta a mí, la heladería Coppelia y muchas ventas de artesanías.

Cienfuegos is a baseball fanatic province, which is the national sport of the island. So it has a large stadium to play "la pelota " as the locals call it. The team of Cienfuegos are the elephants so there is a statue of a huge elephant at the entrance.
Cienfuegos es una provincia fanática del béisbol, que es el deporte nacional de la isla. Así que cuenta con un gran estadio para jugar "la pelota" como le llaman los locales. El equipo de Cienfuegos son los elefantes por lo que se encuentra en la entrada una estatua de un enorme elefante.
The Cienfuegos cemetery was built in 1926. It has a beautiful chapel and the ancient sculptures on its tombs make it an emblem of the city. In the afternoons you can find the quinceañeras doing photo sessions with these marble relics.
El cementerio de Cienfuegos fue construido en el año 1926. Tiene una bonita capilla y las esculturas antiguas de sus tumbas, hacen que este sea un emblema de la ciudad. En las tardes se pueden encontrar las quinceañeras haciendo sesiones de fotos con estas reliquias de mármol.
The port of the bay of Cienfuegos, is a beautiful place where we can enjoy the infinite blue between the sky and the sea. It is ideal to enjoy a sunset or a family walk.
El puerto de la bahía de Cienfuegos, es un hermoso lugar donde podemos disfrutar el infinito azul entre el cielo y el mar. es ideal para disfrutar de un atardecer o un paseo familiar.
To close our tour with a flourish, we went to the 2016 summer closing festival at La playa Rancho Luna, where we drank the delicious piña colada, watched a concert by a very popular dance music group on the island Arnaldo y su talismán and enjoyed the blue water and white sand.
Para cerrar con broche de oro nuestro recorrido, fuimos al festival de cierre de verano de 2016 en La playa Rancho Luna, donde tomamos la deliciosa piña colada, vimos un concierto de un grupo de música bailable muy popular en la isla Arnaldo y su talismán y disfrutamos del agua azul y la arena blanca.

Fue muy bonito recorrerlo...siempre decimos que para conocer bien un lugar es bueno caminar por todos lados...asi que fuimos caminando de un lado a otro y me divertí mucho. Especialmente comiendo helado 🤭
