We continue surrounded by greenery and waterfalls, this time I invite you to visit two places that I really liked during my visit to Topes de Collantes, one of them is "El Venao" and the other "La casa de la Gallega".

Seguimos rodeados de verde y cascadas, esta vez te invito a conocer dos lugares que me gustaron mucho en mi visita a Topes de Collantes, uno de ellos es “El Venao” y el otro “La casa de la Gallega”.

El Venao, is a small pool located in the "Guanayara Park" and is part of the trail with an approximate extension of three km, ideal to refresh a little before continuing with the hike.

El Venao, es una poceta que se encuentra en el “Parque Guanayara” y forma parte del sendero con una extensión aproximada de 3 km, ideal para refrescar un poco antes de continuar con la caminata.

It has a spectacularly cold water and a quite photogenic color, in addition to its own waterfall from which you can jump, which I could not miss, obviously. 😁

Tiene un agua espectacularmente fría y de un color bastante fotogénico, además de su propia cascada desde la cual se puede saltar, cosa que no podía dejar de hacer, obviamente. 😁

Before there was a super strong target from which I could take impulse and make the most exciting jump Tarzan style female version, but unfortunately this was not there, so I had to do it from a stone.

Antes había una diana superfuerte gracias a la cual podía tomar impulso y hacer el salto más emocionante al estilo Tarzán versión femenina, pero desgraciadamente esta no estaba, así que tocó hacerlo desde una piedra.

We spent about forty minutes enjoying the water and then continued our tour.

A piece of advice I give you if you are like me, that I need more time to enjoy these paradisiacal places, is to go on your own.

When you go in groups, you already have a schedule for each place and I think we all have different times.

Estuvimos disfrutando aproximadamente cuarenta minutos del agua y luego continuamos el recorrido.

Un consejo que te doy si te pasa como a mí, que necesito más tiempo para disfrutar estos paradisiacos lugares, es ir por tu cuenta.

Cuando se va en grupos, ya tienes marcado un horario para cada lugar y creo que todos tenemos tiempos distintos.

And well, we walked all along the edge of the Melodious River, listening to the delicious sound of water, hence the name of the river.

I have to say that in this region is one of the purest quartz deposits in the country and for lovers of these stones it is a wonder to find quartz stones at every step. ❤

Y bueno, caminamos por todo el borde del Río Melodioso, escuchando el delicioso sonido del agua, por ello el nombre.

Tengo que decir que en esta región se encuentra uno de los yacimientos de cuarzo más puros del país, para los amantes de estas piedras es una maravilla encontrarse con uno a cada paso. ❤

Arriving at the cottage, you are greeted at the entrance by a charming suspension bridge a few meters high that makes everything much more magical. Under the bridge passes the same river that in this section, is full of fish and butterflies.

Ya llegando a la casita, te recibe a la entrada, un encantador puente colgante de unos cuantos metros de altura que lo hace todo mucho más mágico. Por debajo del puente pasa el mismo río que en este tramo, se encuentra lleno de peces y mariposas.

I swear I had never seen so many butterflies together, apparently there was some kind of food or substance in that area, which caught their attention, and there they all were for me. It was very nice and I spent a long time enjoying the show and admiring the beauty of the place.

Juro que nunca había visto tantas mariposas juntas, al parecer había algún tipo de alimento o sustancia en esa zona, que llamaba su atención, y ahí estaban todas ellas para mí. Fue muy bonito y estuve un largo rato disfrutando el espectáculo y admirando la belleza del lugar.

They arranged one of the best tables for us, located in the highest part of the house, from where you can appreciate a beautiful view and first they brought us some snacks and some fruit, then the main course which is the Galician Chicken, which I accompanied with a beer, and finally a delicious coffee.

Nos arreglaron una de las mejores mesas, situada en la parte más alta de la casa, desde donde se puede apreciar una vista bellísima y primero nos trajeron algo de picar y un poco de fruta, luego el plato principal que es el Pollo a La Gallega, el cual acompañe con una cerveza, y por último un delicioso café.

I am sad to say that this was the last destination of the trip, but I am very happy to have lived such beautiful experiences in this place which from the first day stole my heart. So I encourage you to visit it 😉
