Sometimes we go out to run errands or simply to explore new places—in this case, coffee shops we’ve seen on social media—and today was one of those days; I also went out to enjoy my city, in my own company, that is, alone. I left very early and headed east from my city toward the San Ignacio shopping center, located in Chacao, Caracas, Venezuela. There are several coffee shops there that are a delight for a coffee lover like me, but I decided on Neo Café.

By the time I arrived, it was early in the morning, just in time for my morning coffee; there were already several people there, setting up, as a conference was going to be held in their space, since it’s an outdoor area within the mall—very beautiful and pleasant—and it’s also an artistic café for art lovers. There, you can paint ceramics, create mandalas, and more; they provide all the materials to the public. I loved that artistic concept.

While I was there, even though I was alone, I felt connected to the place, as the café staff is very friendly, attentive, and discreet—they let you enjoy your coffee, give you your space, and it’s mesmerizing to watch people come and go, instantly creating a sense of well-being. So on this visit, the solitude was relaxing and, for all these reasons, different from my visits to other coffee shops. I’m sure I’ll be back to visit them again.

Hay veces que salimos con el propósito de hacer nuestras diligencias o por el simple hecho de conocer nuevos lugares, en este caso cafeterías, que has visto por alguna red social, y hoy este fue el caso; también salí a disfrutar de mi ciudad, con mi propia compañía, es decir, sola. Salí bien temprano y me dirigí al este de mi ciudad hacia el centro comercial San Ignacio, ubicado en Chacao en Caracas, Venezuela. Allí hay varias cafeterías que hacen la delicia de un amante del café como yo; pero me decidí por la cafetería Neo Café.

Para cuando llegué, eran las primeras horas de la mañana, justo para tomarme mi café mañanero; en el lugar ya había varias personas, organizando, pues se iba a dictar una conferencia en sus espacios, ya que es un sitio al aire libre dentro del centro comercial, muy bonito y agradable, aparte de que tiene la característica de que es una cafetería artística para los amantes del arte. Allí se puede pintar cerámicas, elaborar mandalas y demás; ellos proporcionan todo el material al público. Esa idea de concepto artístico me encantó.

Mientras estaba en el sitio, aunque me encontraba sola, me sentí conectada con el lugar, pues el personal del café es muy amable, atento y discreto, pues te dejan disfrutar de tu café, te dan tu espacio y es hipnotizante observar el ir y venir de las personas por el lugar, estableciendo de una vez una conexión de bienestar. Así es que en esta visita la soledad fue relajante y a la vez diferente de otras visitas a otras cafeterías por todos estos motivos. Estoy segura de que volveré a visitarlos.
