Leaves and flowers
Sometimes we have to and can make do with a little. Because it's autumn and the woods are far away. In autumn the woods are magnificent but in my case, they are far away. I live in the concrete forest of the city and it doesn't really appeal to me now to photograph it. I'd like to take advantage of autumn's habit of coloring the greenery ready to go.
The park is the savior, this miniature copy of the forest but I have used this source so much that to me it feels like I have left it sapless.
I need something else and I have given up looking up at the trees. I'll look down into the grass...
I have to make do with little, my little yard where I like to cram as many flowers as possible. My plants have learned to survive. I look down and see leaves that have already lost the fight, but are dying beautifully and little flowers that won't give up, will live their lives to the end.
When I look further away I see mostly dry leaves in the grass, nothing spectacular.
The only chance to find something to show was to look closer, something macro. Beauty is hidden in the grass and dead leaves.
Among the fallen yellow leaves of the birch trees, the Alyssum flowers, small and white and honey-scented, continue to bloom, seemingly oblivious to the approaching winter and the memory of the torrid Africa from which they come. I love these flowers.
Another flower that wants to see snow is Ageratum. Coming from tropical America, from Brazil to be precise, it is a plant that at home is considered a weed. Here, especially in parks, it is very decorative. I only have a few plants in my yard.
The strangest plant I have is Sempervivum, an ornamental and medicinal plant. I recently learned that it is medicinal, using fleshy leaves. I won't try its therapeutic virtues, I am happy with the decorative aspect and the fact that it is not afraid of winter.
Above all these little beings, plants are beings, they are as alive as we humans are, the most colorful tree in my yard stands vigil. The Japanese maple!
Autumn is nearing its end, which will happen in a sea of snow and frost. That is, its end will coincide with the end of these little wonders that live in the grass, among the dry leaves. Except for Sempervivum, which manages to survive the winter, no matter how cold it gets.
I'm glad I managed to capture their image as this is all that will remain.

This was the one for me, Blue. What a riot of color and form. Nature and your eye created an amazing mis en scene:)
Thank you very much! I love it when you call me Blue, because it's my favorite color.
I'm so glad when I meet you here. I apologize that I'm having time problems right now and barely manage to post but I have to sacrifice interaction.
I understand:)
