AI and Business Is It Really That Hype?

AI and Business Is It Really That Hype?

It feels like ever since ChatGPT came out and got a ton of hype that everyone is on board the AI train. But I have to tell you these AI's IMO are actully extremely dumb. While many think or at least the perception is that the AI is thinking and coming up with answers it's actully just pulling data that already exists and was written by humans and recycling it.

What is impressive about it is the speed in which it is capable of doing so.

There are many other variations of AI

Artwork - Is actully pretty cool and does drum up some interesting and new designs.

Articles - The dumb AI and is more like a search engine AI to be fair. I'll be getting into this one more later.

Music - It's really not that hard to come up with some sounds and make them go into a rhythm. I see music AI only taking off even though there has been constant pushback on it. However artists that use it for music creation could be on to something. In fact I know of one music artist that allows people to use her voice as long as they give her 30% of the royalties to the music. Personally I think that's the road to take and could end up being serious new revenue passive streams for a music artist.

Websites - I feel like these have been around for a long while now. There's been countless developments in which a system can create a website for you rather easily.

Video - I've tried this one myself many times but the videos IMO take way too much input from someone to make anything worth wild and even then it feels not well constructed. I was curious if AI could create some unique shorts for me and publish them and honestly they all fell short. I spent hours trying to get it to make something half decent only to give up and realize I just wanted a few hours of my life when AI is suppose to be making things easier.

Now what if we applied this AI to search engines? In a way this has already been happening for a while now but we simply call it an algorithm. I collection of our data and search history along with many other factors that calculates what we most likely would be interested in clicking on to get the information we need.

We also see this happen in other search engines as well such as shopping where we get people who bought this also bough that or a general you might be interested in these products based on your history.

Well Amazon is now looking to take this to the next level as we are seeing them search for a group of people to create a ChatGPT version for Amazon that will have search functionality for their web store.

The job postings for Amazon are expanding what has already been worked on by them. The debuted of "bedrock" artificial intelligence (AI) which is a open source AI like service much like ChatGPT.

This open source code is most likely a way for the company to expand and reach potential people or people to build future projects and this next one feels like it's going to be a fit for the Amazon store front to bring next level deep learning into their stores.

These moves clearly show how large mega corps are investing extremely heavily into AI or what is called AI. While I don't believe it's real AI yet or how people think of AI I do believe it's the next level of what is known as deep learning in which a AI like code would siphon and optimize everything to improve all aspects of the business from conversion rates to overall layout of a site and its functions.

Those two job postings that these following quotes that lead me to believe it's more about optimizing store and deep learning over really building a think for itself AI.

Quote 1:

“We are working on a new AI-first initiative to re-architect and reinvent the way we do search through the use of extremely large scale next-generation deep learning techniques.”

Quote 2:

“We are reimagining Amazon Search with an interactive conversational experience that helps you find answers to product questions, perform product comparisons, receive personalized product suggestions, and so much more, to easily find the perfect product for your needs.”

Now it begs the question if SEO techniques for companies and people to get their products placed in the right spots might in fact be out of luck with these new changes.

Overall all of these moves by Amazon seem to be stemming from the recent success of their not so well known "titan" chatbot which helps bring searched content to the main home page of Amazon currently.

The speed of these updates and changes are pretty wild when you look at them as well.

Chat GPT was released in November 30th of 2022 but no one really took hold of it until about 2-3 months ago around February and March of 2023. With the huge demand and people using it we saw this entire industry balloon from crypto focused AI projects to now mainstream companies adopting it and creating their own version of it.

Amazon released theirs in March of this year (2023) and already they have it somewhat implemented into their site. What is clear is these companies are looking at ways to use AI to save time, make more money and help with other aspects of the business which can be automated and optimized. The wild part is we are just a few months into when AI has really taken off and we are seeing people who can build such AI either one leave their jobs in fear of its capabilities or two build new versions which are most likely going to be the forefront of a new evolution in business.

To be factual, if you want an article to be SEO optimized, best method is to parse it through an AI, one like ChatGPT helps a lot in this area, the only thing holding it back is the fact that most ChatGPT’s available now are not yet connected to the internet so it will produce seo but not the trendy topics based on the fact that it sources old data. This will be greatly improved when ChatGPT can source information on the internet in real time, and give practical suggestions and adjustments to help anyone out in SEO, eventually it will become a norm, then the idea of SEO will have to be rethought,

I think it's more like progression. Kind of when factory workers complained about robots taking their jobs etc. It's just the next evolution. You either adapt or you get left behind.
