Happy beautiful Sunday to you all, I hope you are all doing great, it's feels so good and gives me great joy to share with you today the making and completion of different outfits I made for my sister and her 2 kids.

Last week, I made some post in my blog on how I made simple gown outfit with 2 steps for my little niece birthday with the 6 yards of Ankara fabric I bought, fortunately, the outfit came out really nice and beautiful that most of my friends commented on it and that really makes me feel proud of myself, from the remaining fabric, I thought of making another outfit for the older sister which was same as the one I made for the birthday girl, the girls were happy and loved the outfit so much even their mom was surprised at the gift I presented to the girls, lucky enough, after making those two outfit, I discovered I only used 4yards of the Ankara fabric while I still have about 2 yards and some pieces left, at first, I only bought the fabric to make an outfit for the birthday girl and used the remaining fabric to make something nice for myself but I thought sewing for the celebrant alone won't be nice leaving her sister aside, that was why I made hers also and I was glad I did.

The remaining fabric was set aside until a thought came to my mind that why don't I make a simple gown for my sister just to make the it a family outfit, yes! I then decide to make this simple short gown with flare sleeve for my sister as well.

With the remaining fabric, I measured the desired full length which was just 1" above the knee, the fabric was folded in 2 using the hip measurement plus 2" for ease and seam allowance, on the folded fabric, I marked out the back neckline, shoulder slant, armhole circumference as well as the vertical measurement of the bust, waist hip and full length, then on the line, I measured out the bust, waist and hip circumference divide by 4 plus 2" each. The back was used to cut out the front part with a V-neck shape.

On the front neckline, I cut out a matching colour satin material to make a V-neck patch Infront with glitterring stones embellishments to give it a simple design just as I did in my previous designs after the front and back were sewn together.

I cut out two side pockets and sew it to the sides of the gown

For the sleeves, I cut out a 360Β° flare and sew it to the armhole circumference of the gown.

With all these neatly done, I have my complete outfit for my sister from the remaining fabric I made for my little niece, now this is a complete package for the family, I'm so glad I made this decision for my sister and her daughters.
