It's a beautiful day in this community and I bring you all greetings from my sewing room, it's so nice to be here with great minds and lovers of diy, I hope you are all doing great, it's another day for me to share with you with great pleasure my quick and recent diy projects made from pieces of fabric, I will be sharing with you today the making of a simple phone pouch with zipper and handle for my friend for the safe keeping of her phone

Few weeks ago, my friend phone had a problem with affected the screen as a result of putting the phone directly in her bag and it came in contact with other items which affected the screen, the phone was kept aside as her husband promised to help her finance the cost of repairs

Fortunately for her, yesterday, her husband brought the phone home as he has changed the screen and the phone is working perfectly, but this comes with a warning that if anything should happen to the phone again, my friend will bear the cost, she told me and I suggested that she needed to have a phone pouch to help protect her phone from other items that can affect the phone again, this is where I come in, I offered to make a phone pouch for her to help protect her phone.

This is what I know how to do and I'm sure it will help just as I intended

Let me take you through the cutting and sewing process

I measured and cut out 16 x 6" of fabric with lining and interfacing iron on the main fabric

I placed a small zipper at the top with the main fabric with the zipper head facing down and the lining was placed on the zipper

I folded the main fabric up and sew it to the other side of the zipper with the lining as well

I measured and cut out 2 x 10" of fabric, it was folded in two and sewn on both sides

I placed the handle by the side of the main fabric and I placed main fabric to main fabric and lining to lining

It was sewn together on both sides round, leaving a small opening on the lining where it can be turned inside out

Finally, it was turned to the right side through the zipper opening and the opening on the lining and this is the final outcome

This will be delivered to my friend today and I'm sure she will be so glad to have this for her phone.

This will definitely help to protect her phone from other objects scratching the surface of the phone when kept in her bag.

Es una bolsa muy bonita para el telefono hecha por ti misma, eso es genial! It's a very nice phone case that you made yourself, that's great!

Just like glasses, phones need their own case when we carry them in our bags. They are things that simply aren't made to rub against other items. I'm sorry about what happened to your friend's phone screen, but I'm very happy that her husband was able to help her, and that she also has your friendship. You've even helped her by making this beautiful case. The color is gorgeous 💚 🦚 ✨
