Greetings to you all on this beautiful Sunday morning, it's my pleasure to be here to share with you the gift I made for my grandma, and I'm sure you will like it.

It's a beautiful thing to make our grand parents happy and in return, they have nothing to give other than to offer their special prayers from the depth of their heart just like mine usually do, to appreciate the gift.

I went visiting grandma sometimes ago and as we were talking, she made mention of a member of their meeting whose grand daughter will be getting married and there is this fabric sold for the event, though, it's not compulsory but it's just to grace the occasion, as she was saying it, I knew she would like to be part of it but probably she's not financially boyaunt at that time, something in me just struck me to get it for her, when I left, I made enquiry on how to get the fabric which I did and it was sent to me, lucky enough, I have her measurement with me, I decided to make this simple gown for her, an A-shape gown with 3 steps flare sleeves. All this I did was unknown to her, I told the person selling the fabric that when grandma comes to get the same fabric, they should tell her it's finished just for her not to get another for herself since I've gotten one for her.

I started working on the fabric immediately with her measurement so as to get it delivered to her on time, I did the cutting and sewing process and it was beautiful.

To start with, I folded the fabric in 2, using the hip measurement divide by 4 plus 2" ease and seam allowance on which I marked out the front and back neckline, the shoulder slope and armhole circumference, the the bust, waist and hip circumference were divided by 4 and marked out as well plus 2" ease and seam allowance and finally, the full length measurement.

The measurement were connected and cut out while I placed the back part on another folded fabric to cut out the front part of the gown with same shape, after that, the remaining fabric was used to cut out 3 flare of 360° using the round sleeve measurement and a basic sleeve, the flare were sewn to the basic sleeve with 2" intervals.

The sleeves were set aside as I proceeded to the sewing of the gown by sewing facing to the neckline for neat finishing while the front and back were sewn together with the side seam allowance of 1.5".

With this, I'm almost done with the dress, I have some left over fabric so I decided to cut out 2 pocket which I did and it was sewn to the two sides of the gown.

The sleeves that was set aside were finally sewn to the armhole circumference and I have this beautiful outfit for grandma.

This beautiful gown was delivered to grandma and she was so surprised and happy as well, it was what she lost expected, she showed prayers of blessings to me with a joyful heart and I was so happy with what I did, it was actually a surprise and it worked perfectly 😂😂😂😂😂

Unfortunately, I didn't take pictures of the moment, I was carried away with joy and excitement, but it feels so great to see grandma so happy with the outfit, now she can attend the event with her outfit as well.
