Didim district of Aydın province, as most of you know, is one of the tourism destinations of our country. We had the opportunity to visit this place last month. First we visited a few historical places, then we went down to the district center to explore the surroundings and meet some of our needs. We left the house a little late to avoid being exposed to the heat of the afternoon. For this reason, we could not reach the other places we wanted to visit. The weather was very oppressive, both from the heat and from the humidity. It is impossible to walk without cold drinks with you. We bought our cold drinks from a market and did a little city tour.

Didim, as a district center, was quite developed and lively. Then we went to the famous Altinkum Beach, which is very close to the center. We actually wanted to swim here, but we just walked along the beach as we got tired from the road and didn't take our necessary clothes with us. Altinkum beach takes its name from the fine and golden sands in it. Since it is a very wide and long beach, it is also preferred from the surrounding districts. Because a few of our friends came here and recommended it to us. Many said the water was cool. High walls were built to separate the beach from the streets of the city. Just behind the walls is a long walkway decorated with flowers. In addition, there were many places and various shops on the street where you could meet all your needs. Especially when we look at the prices of the restaurants, we saw that the prices are quite affordable compared to a holiday region. Considering the restaurant prices in other holiday regions we went to, I can say that this place is cheap. Apart from this, another thing that caught our attention was that there were more domestic tourists here. We observed that the presence of foreign tourists is quite low compared to other holiday regions.

Despite the dark, the streets were quite crowded and colorful. The shops were still open and there were colorful souvenir stands in many places. As it got dark and the hour progressed, the air cooled a little. However, due to the tiredness of the day, we thought it was time to go home.

Aydın iline bağlı Didim ilçesi, çoğunuzun bildiği üzere ülkemizin turizm destinasyonlarından biri. Geçtiğimiz ay bizim de burayı gezme fırsatımız oldu. Öncelikle tarihi birkaç alanı gezdik, daha sonra hem biraz etrafı keşfetmek hemde bir kaç ihtiyacımızı karşılamak için ilçe merkezine indik. Öğlen sıcağına çok maruz kalmamak için evden biraz geç çıkmıştık. Bu yüzden gezmek istediğimiz diğer yerlere yetişemedik. Hem sıcaktan hemde nemden dolayı çok bunaltıcı bir hava vardı. Yanınızda soğuk içecekleriniz olmadan yürümek pek mümkün değil. Bizde bir marketten soğuk içeceklerimizi alıp biraz şehir turu yaptık.

Didim ilçe merkezi olarak oldukça gelişmiş ve canlıydı. Daha sonra merkeze oldukça yakın olan meşhur Altınkum Plajına doğru gittik. Aslında burada denize girmeyi çok istiyorduk ancak hem yol yorgun olduğumuz için hem de yanımıza gerekli kıyafetlerimizi almadığımız için sadece sahil boyunca yürüdük. Altınkum plajı ismini içindeki tane tane ince ve altın rengindeki kumlardan alıyor. Oldukça geniş ve uzun bir plaj olduğu için çevre illerden de tercih ediliyor. Çünkü birkaç tane arkadaşımız da buraya gelmişler ve bize tavsiye etmişlerdi. Suyunun serin olduğunu söyleyenler de vardı Sahili ve şehir sokaklarına ayırmak için yüksekçe duvarlar yapılmış. Duvarların hemen gerisinde çiçeklerle süslenmiş uzun bir yürüyüş yolu var. Cadde üzerinde de bir sürü mekan ve her türlü ihtiyacınızı karşılayabileceğiniz çeşitli dükkanlar vardı. Özellikle restoranların fiyatlarına göz gezdirdiğimizde fiyatların bir tatil bölgesine göre epey uygun olduğunu gördük. Gezdiğimiz diğer tatil bölgelerindeki restoran fiyatları düşündüğümüzde burası ucuz bile kalıyor diyebilirim. Bunun haricinde dikkatinizi çeken diğer şey de burada daha çok yerli turistin olmasıydı. Yabancı turist varlığının diğer tatil bölgelerine göre oldukça düşük olduğunu gözlemledik.

Hava karardığında bile sokaklar epey kalabalık ve renkliydi. Dükkanlar hala açıktı, birçok yerde hediyelik eşya satan rengarenk standlar vardı. Hava karardığında ve saat ilerlediğinde hava biraz olsun serinlemişti. Yine de gündüzden çok yorgun olduğumuz için eve evimize gitmek için yola çıkma vaktinin geldiğini düşündük.
