Hello everyone, in recent months I have read the book The Alchemist, the unforgettable work of Brazilian writer Paulo Coelho, but I did not have a suitable time to share the book with you. In the meantime, I hope you are well and everything is fine. The book begins with a young man who dreams of traveling the world and becomes a shepherd to fulfill this desire. He spends his time traveling from one land to another with his sheep. One day he came back to the old church where he used to stay in between. He counted his sheep and fell asleep. In his sleep he had the same dream he had had before. He dreams that he is going to Egypt and that he will find a great treasure there. The dream is very realistic, and he is very much under the influence of these dreams. He has a great desire to travel, but he is also very used to his sheep and he is not willing to leave them because he has learned a lot from them. The next day he goes to a distant town to get the wool of his sheep. The person who bought the wool for his sheep last year was very pleased and told him to come back next year.

Herkese merhaba geçtiğimiz aylarda Brezilyalı yazar Paulo Coelho'nun unutulmaz eseri olan Simyacı adlı kitabını okudum ancak kitabı sizlerle paylaşmak için uygun bir zamanım olmadı. Bu arada umarım iyisinizdir ve her şey yolundadır. Yavaştan kitabın özetine giriş yapmak istiyorum. Kitapta dünyayı gezme hayaliyle yanıp tutuşan bir delikanlının bu isteğini yerine getirmek için çoban olmasıyla başlamaktadır. Koyunlarıyla bir diyardan diğerine seyehat ile zamanını geçirmektedir. Bir gün arada konaklamak için kullandığı eski kiliseye tekrar gelmiştir. Koyunlarını saymış ve uykuya dalmıştır. Uykusunda daha önce de gördüğü rüyayı tekrar görmüştür. Mısır'a gideceğini ve mısırda büyük bir hazine bulacağını görüyor. Rüya çok gerçekçidir ve bu rüyaların etkisine kapılmıştır. İçindeki gezme arzusu çok büyüktür fakat koyunlarına da çok alışmıştır onları bırakmaya da pek sıcak bakmıyor çünkü koyunlarından da çok şey öğrenmiştir. Ertesi gün koyunlarının yününü aldırmak için uzak bir kasabaya yola çıkar. Geçen sene koyunlarının yününü satın alan kişi bundan çok memnun kalmış ve seneye tekrar gelmesini söylemiştir.

He also had a conversation with the daughter of the woolgrower and they had a pleasant conversation. A few days later, when he arrived in the town, he sat on a bench and opened the book he was carrying and read. An old man sits next to him and starts giving him advice. At first he ignores this man, but he realizes from the way the man talks that he is a wise man and he is very surprised. The wise man knew all his past and told him to go to the place of his dream and find a great treasure, and told him never to give up his personal legend. The man made up his mind and set off for Egypt. The old man asked for one tenth of his sheep and in return gave the young man his money. The young man left his sheep and set off for Egypt. They came to an Arab town near Egypt. There is a desert between Egypt and Egypt that he must cross. The man meets a young man in this town and the young man tells him that he can guide him and the young man gives him all his money. The young man then swindles the young man and runs away with his money. The young man, who has no money left, starts working in a shop in that town. The shop grows and develops with the young man's work and starts to earn a lot of money. The young man learned Arabic and earned much more money than he had lost. Now he is ready to go to Egypt. He joins a caravan preparing to go to Egypt. In the caravan, he meets an Englishman who is looking for a different personal story from his own and who is engaged in alchemy. The Englishman tells the young man that he is a very famous alchemist around Egypt, that he can turn worthless metals into gold and that he has discovered eternal life. The young man tells the Englishman his personal story.

Yüncünün kızıyla da muhabbet etmiş ve aralarında hoş bir muhabbet geçmiştir. Bir kaç gün sonra kasabaya geldiğinde bir bankta oturmuş yanında taşıdığı kitabını açmış okumaktadır. Bu sırada yanına yaşlı bir adam oturur ve ona öğütler vermeye başlar. Başta bu adamı önemsemese de adamın konuşmalarından bilge bir adam olduğunu anlamış ve çok şaşırmıştır. Bilge adam onun tüm geçmişini biliyordur ve onun rüyasında ki yere gitmesini ve büyük bir hazine bulacağını söylemiş, kendi kişisel menkıbesinden asla vazgeçmemesini söylemiştir. Adam kararını vermiştir mısıra yola koyulacaktır. Yaşlı adam koyunlarının 10'da 1'ini istemiş bunun karşılığında da delikanlıya parasını vermiştir. Delikanlı koyunlarını bırakarak mısırın yolunu tutmuştur. Mısırın civarlarında bir Arap kasabasına gelmişlerdir. Mısırla arasında aşması gereken bir çöl vardır. Adam bu kasabada bir gençle tanışır ve genç ona rehberlik yapabileceğini söyler ve delikanlı tüm parasını verir. Bunun üstüne genç, delikanlıyı dolandırır ve parasını alıp kaçar. Beş kuruş parası kalmayan delikanlı o kasabada bir dükkanda çalışmaya başlar. Delikanlının çalışmasıyla büyüyen ve gelişen dükkan çok para kazanmaya başlar. Delikanlı Arapçayı öğrenmiştir ve kaybettiği paranın çok daha fazlasını kazanmıştır. Artık mısıra gitmeye hazırdır. Mısıra gitmek için hazırlanan bir kervana katılır. Kervan da kendisinden farklı bir kişisel menkıbesini arayan ve simya ile uğraşan bir İngilizle tanışır. İngiliz delikanlıya mısır civarlarında çok meşhur bir simyacı olduğunu değersiz madenleri altına çevirebildiğini ve ebedi hayatı keşfettiğini söyler. Delikanlı da İngiliz'e kendisinin kişisel menkıbesini anlatır.

After a long desert journey, they finally reach an oasis very close to Egypt. This oasis is the oasis where the alchemist the Englishman told them about lives. While searching for the alchemist with the Englishman, the boy meets a very beautiful girl. He fell very much in love with her. The girl also fell in love with the boy. After a while the young man meets the alchemist and the alchemist realizes that the young man has come for his personal legend and tells him that he will accompany him to Egypt. They set off and a short distance from the pyramids the man says he has to leave. The young man says he doesn't know exactly where the treasure is. The alchemist tells him to dig the pyramids in the first place where tears fall and there is your treasure. The young man sets off and finally reaches the pyramids. As soon as he reaches the pyramids, he starts to cry under the influence of the view he sees in front of him. He has reached his goal. Then he remembers what the alchemist said. Knowing that his tear is where it fell, he starts digging there. He digs for hours but there is nothing there, but he does not give up and continues digging. After a while some local bandits notice the young man and come to him. They start beating him saying why are you staying here or are you looking for treasure? The young man was beaten very badly, but finally he could not stand it and told them one by one why he was there. He tells them that he keeps dreaming that there is a treasure in Egypt. One of them, a bandit, tells him that he too had a similar dream and that he saw treasure under a tree next to an old church in Spain. The boy understood. The place where he spends most nights in the old church is where his treasure is. He realizes that he has come all this way to find out. The bandits let him go and leave. The young man sets off for his hometown and digs under the tree next to the church and finally finds his treasure.
Although the book seems boring at first, the following pages are really very fluent. I recommend it. See you soon 🙂

Uzun çöl yolculuğundan sonra sonunda mısıra çok yakın olan bir Vahaya ulaşırlar. Bu vaha İngiliz'in bahsettiği simyacının yaşadığı Vahadır. Delikanlı İngilizle birlikte simyacıyı ararken çok güzel bir kızla tanışır. Ona çok aşık olmuştur. Kızda aynı şekilde delikanlıya aşık olmuştur. Bir zaman sonra delikanlı simyacıyla tanışır ve simyacı delikanlının kişisel menkıbesi için geldiğini anlar ve Ona mısıra kadar eşlik edeceğini söyler. Yola çıkarlar piramitlere az bir mesafe kala adam ayrılmak zorunda olduğunu söyler. Delikanlı hazinenin tam olarak nerede olduğunu bilmediğini söyler. Simyacı da ona piramitleri göz yaşının düştüğü ilk yeri kaz işte orada senin hazinen der. Delikanlı yola çıkar piramitlere sonunda ulaşır. Ulaşır ulaşmaz karşısında gördüğü manzaranın etkisiyle ağlamaya başlar. Hedefine ulaşmıştır. Daha sonra simyacının dediğini hatırlar. Gözyaşının düştüğü yerde olduğunu bildiği için orayı kazmaya başlar. Saatlerce kazar fakat hiçbir şey yoktur yine de pes etmez kazmaya devam eder. Bir süre sonra yerli haydutlardan bir kaç adam delikanlıyı farkeder ve yanına gelir. Neden burayı kalıyorsun yoksa hazine mi arıyorsun diye delikanlıyı dövmeye başlarlar. Delikanlı çok kötü dayak yerken sonunda dayanamayıp neden orada olduğunu bir bir anlatır. Devamlı bir rüya gördüğünü mısırda bir hazine olduğunu anlatır. Aralarından bir haydut da kendisinin de buna benzer bir rüya gördüğünü İspanya'da eski bir kilisenin bitişiğindeki ağacın altında hazine gördüğünü söyler. Delikanlı anlamıştır. Çoğu geceyi eski kilisede geçirdiği yer onun hazinesinin olduğu yerdir. Bunu öğrenmek için buralara kadar geldiğini farkeder. Haydutlar adamı bırakıp gider. Delikanlı da memleketine doğru yola çıkıp kilisenin yanındaki ağacın dibini kazıp hazinesine sonunda ulaşır.
Kitap ilk başlarda sıkıcı gelse de ilerleyen sayfaları gerçekten çok akıcı. Tavsiye ederim. Görüşmek üzere. 🙂
