The main character is waiting in front of the hotel for the luxury car that will come to pick him up, not knowing anything. But the vehicle is an open-top jeep. Anyway, the long journey somehow begins. By the way, the character I'm talking about is a doctor and he goes on this journey thinking that he will get a fancy award from the Abordin tribe. When he arrives at the meeting place, he gets a big shock. While he was expecting a flamboyant ceremony, he is welcomed in a tent made of wood. They take off all his belongings, dress him in tribal clothes and burn all his belongings, his wallet, his passport. He freezes in the face of these events and starts to think about how to go back. After a small welcoming ceremony, they tell him that they are going on a long journey and it will take three months. After hearing this, he gets another shock. After a long deliberation, the doctor has to go on the journey. At the beginning of the journey, his feet get burned in the desert because he has no shoes and he learns how to protect his feet with the tribe's tactics. When they are hungry, they have to eat worms. The doctor has a hard time eating for the first time in his life. The tribe sets off at first light in the morning, rests at noon and continues walking again.

The tribe tells him to keep his thoughts positive and to always think positively. Although he finds it absurd at first, he does it this way and they come across a water source. After a long journey, they arrive at a place that is very sacred to the tribe. Here the tribe names the doctor "A pair of hearts". At the beginning of the journey, the doctor does not want to go on this journey, but at the end of the journey, all his ideas change because he learns a lot from the tribe and gets used to them. He doesn't even want to say goodbye to the tribe. On the day he leaves, he hugs them all separately and says goodbye.
The book really teaches us many lessons. Sometimes facing a situation we don't want or having different experiences can work in our favor rather than against us.
