The Big Buddha

Bangkok is not only destination for me, far from it.. it's a place where I can reflect on the meaning of life. When i feel burnt out and have a little savings left over for a yearly vacation, I don't know why, but for the past three years, Bangkok has been a constant stopover.

Far from being a quiet city, Bangkok is over crowded. It's almost like living 24/7 without a break. However, in every corner you can find hidden gems you will loved it.

Like the Big Buddha, which i was determine to see this time. I couldn't make it last year because the statue was under renovation and its so sadly. I'd plan to come back in 2025 to support the Indonesian team competition in the SEA Games. Now, I have renewed hope of see the Big Buddha.

I took the MRT to Bang Phai station and follow Google Maps directions to my destination with my foot and walking around this district. This time, to see the Big Buddha, I didn't have to go directly to the temple to get the perfect photo, you should walk to URUEA cafe (opposite of the temple), but I couldn't find it there, but luckily the road to the cafe was open to the public.

Walking step by step, I discovered a beautiful atmosphere in a corner of the city far from the bustling city. People were walking and the locals were so quiet... serene... is this what Gen Z calls slow living?

There were lots of small boats available for rent, or you could pay 200 baht to ride and take beautiful photos with the massive Buddha statue in the background.

See you the next time hive friends!

Hi! Let me introduce myself, its me Wita.
I'm just a woman who wants to write whatever's on my mind. I really enjoy cooking, occasionally traveling, and doing whatever I like. I want to live like a bird flying freely in nature. But I know I'm only human. So, I can only write freely like a bird that can fly with its two wings.

I'm usually very interested in new things. Let me be creative with at least these writings. I welcome any suggestions, as long as you mention them politely in the comments section. We can have a free discussion every now and then.

Don't think too much of me as you see in my posts. I'm just sharing what I have, and some of it is actually quite enjoyable to post. It's just that I don't really like posting bad things. I hope we continue to work together to build this Hive community.
