Don't Worry | Be Happy

People do wonder why I love music so much? Music is the most important thing in my life. Listening to different kind of music has helped me to stay motivated and feel relaxed doing the trying time.

During my NYSC days, which I had in Abia state,Nigeria, about few years ago. I encountered an incident which I'll never forget. One day, I accidentally got on the wrong bus. The bus I carried was filled with thieves, who I had no knowledge about. So, on our way, the thief tried to stop the driver by all means, but when the driver refused to stop, they began to drag steering wheel with him, which later resulted in an accident. After the accident, they still robbed us.

During this encounter, I was hold down with sadness and worry, there was a certain song which helped me to stay motivated and overcome this situation very fast. We should try and learned not to take the power of music for granted.

However, something similar happened to a friend of mine last year, just a few days before Christmas. But her own experienced was with a snatched thief. When narrating her story, she said she went to the bank to withdraw the sum of #400k which belonged to her friends. The reason why this her friends didn't made use of her own bank account, was that she was having issues with her own bank account.

On her way back from the bank, all of a sudden, a motor passed beside her, one of the passengers put his hands out of the car and snatched her handbag.

The motor speed off as far as lightening that was how they went away with the money. She became very worried, sad, and depressed. We tried all means to make her happy, but non is working out.

Then this song came to my mind again and on singing it to her, she feels relieved in her heart. A Song by Bobby McFerrin titled Don't Worry Be Happy.

Don't worry, be happy was sung by Bobby McFerrin and was released in the year 1988. Bobby Mcferrin is a ten-time Grammy awards winner, a songwriter, vocal percussion, a Capella and folk singer. In this song, he urges his listeners to let go of negative thoughts or mindset rather to embrace happiness at all time.

In the beginning of this song, Bobby McFerrin encourages listeners to sing along rather than dwelling in worry. He goes on letting his listeners know that life is full of ups and downs, so in all situations you may find yourself. Don't worry, be happy. Throughout this song, he emphasizes on important of staying positive, cultivating the sense of gratitude, remain contentment and to be fully happy rather than feeling sad and worried or putting on a fake smile and pretending to be happy.

The song is what's needed to spread the message of happiness and for someone to stay happy all around the world.
