The power of now in creation

This painting was made by Vika about three years ago.
It is very atmospheric, mesmerizing and deep.
The first layer was painted with wax crayons, and then rubbed oil paints on top, using a very unusual technique.
It was a time of experimentation and we both painted very intensely, improvising every day.

We often draw with a burning candle, then this process inspires, becomes filled with great mystery, creates a clean atmosphere.

It is a great pleasure for us to create. To lead the line, not knowing and not planning where it will lead you, and in which direction it will turn. It always returns to the power of the present moment, to the observation of that reality, which by itself unfolds at this moment on the canvas. It is very exciting and bewitching.

The colors find their place on their own, and then change them again, with new layers.
The creation of a painting can be compared to one long and multi-layered story, a poem, or a film, or a song, or a verse - to whom which suits best.
Here, throughout the course, the main characters replace each other all the time, drawing your attention to one section of the canvas, then to another. And at the same time it is always cool to look at the whole picture as one, to see and experience all the interactions of colors and shapes, to see their connections and composition.

Also, beloved and beautiful music always gives beauty in these moments of creativity.
