I am quite excited on how great technology has been these days. A lot of things have been made easy and probably with some consequences, but we cannot still turn a blind eye to those advents.

To really learn in this world, it is either you learn from someone who is well informed and verse in the skill you are imterested in or you read the knowledge about the skill in books. Quite a few numbers of people have gone through this life without reading, if any at all. It does not have to be in English language or any other type of official language. There are lots of books written in native languages and they have their readers.

As we know now that we gan read books in two major forms. Paper books or hard copies and Electronic books also known as E-books or soft copies. Both types of books actually come with their pros and cons.

Come to think of it, there is nothing in this world that does not have pros and cons. Well I stand to be corrected though, I have not just seen that thing that does not have its merits and demerits.

Electronic books are so portable and easily assessible too. They are on your phones, computers or tablets, any of the gadgets you can think of. You can have thousands of books, if you are that much of a reader on your phone without being bothered about how heavy they could be. Also, you can travel the world with those books at your disposal. Isn't that great?

Another thing again is you do not have to bother about creating or building a shelf or shelves to accommodate the storage of those books. That saves money. You do not need to bother about how to maintain them on the shelve, like dusting and arranging periodically. It is just easy.

Furthermore, some of the electronic books are even up on the internet for free, you just need to download and walla! there you have it.

As easy as it could be to have electronic books, there are some cons to it. It requires long hours of staring at your phone, tab or computer screen and from research, the radiations from these gadgets are not good for the eyes. I have been there. My eyes or head aches from long staring and I also get tired easily. Because of that, it might not really be appropriate.

Another thing is that, if you run out of power on your gadgets, there is no way you can access the books. Anything can even happen to your phone, it might develop some faults or get stolen. You might not have access to your books for that time being.

With paper books, if you are a fan of aesthetics, you will appreciate the different designs the books come with. The design of some books, from the colors, to the fonts of words, attract readers and make them curious on the information the book possess,in addition to the title ofcourse.

Even if your phone is dead, paper books can keep you company and learning continues.

Some people also love the smell of books, either new books or old books. I learnt old books have a particular smell about them that some people absolutely love. I found that interesting though.

If I am to make a choice, I will go for Ebooks because they are just so comfortable and portable to carry. I do not need to bother about how to keep and maintain them. Some are even available online for freeee. I like freebies so why not.

Thank you for reading
