Money does not bring happiness, Is that really true?
I saw a video online of a guy standing next to an mp3 player and the music that goes on there was by a popular Nigerian artist saying "...money no dey bring happiness....". The guy listening to song angrily kicked the mp3 player away. It really cracked me up.
Later, I thought about the lyrics and I was like, is it true that money does not bring happiness.
It is a big lie o, if money does not bring happiness why do people keep making money. Because when there things to be done with money and could not be achieved due to lack of money, one will even be angrier and sad.
Maybe if the words had been, money is not the key to 'All' happiness. Emphasis on the word "All" yes, I can agree with that.
But to now say money does not bring happiness is a big fat lie. You can even make yourself happy by having money.
For example, I am craving for some delicious five star meal and being able to satisfy that crave will require me to make a purchase of that menu. If I have the money to fulfill that and cravings satisfied, there will be a level of joy that I will derive from getting that done.
It could even me a pressing need or life threatening issue that by just having money will get that resolved, and someone is there saying money does not bring happiness.
It was after all these thoughts I understood the frustration of the guy that was listening to the song that made him kick away the mp3 player.
Even if you don't have money to get yourself food, from there, frustration will start, because it has even been said that an a hungry man is an angery man.
