Good afternoon to all the beautiful people of this community. Each initiative is as wonderful as the previous one. I entered to participate in it after it closed because the problems of internet and electrical service are getting more and more serious in my area and until now I was able to check my notifications and see the invitation, but I don't want to miss it. I agree with the rules of participating without opting for the award, thank you for at least allowing us to participate. Below I share my entry to the theme of the month of September that is entitled: Where were you when...? Many thanks to my friend @brujita18 for this beautiful invitation.

DEATH OF PRINCESS DIANA

It was the month of August 1997, I remember that on the 30th of that month I celebrated my daughter's third birthday, and I always used to have a very pleasant children's party, which I spent a whole year organizing. My daughter's birthday was on a Saturday, we went to sleep very late, and I was left to order everything since always after the birthday we would have a family reunion at home with a grill and sancocho, that was already a tradition... I got up early to start preparing everything, and my little girl couldn't stand to get up to uncover the rest of her gifts and start using them. We went to the kitchen so as not to wake up the others, and when I turn on the television, the first thing that appears is the news of Princess Diana's accident in the early hours of the morning, in Paris, France. I felt something very ugly that oppressed my chest, as if what was happening was not a simple accident.

From a very young age I have felt a deep admiration for Lady Di, there are many things that attract me to her as a woman with a humble personality, as a tender and selfless mother, and as a human being full of kindness. Diana was a woman who fought throughout her life to make others happy at the cost of their unhappiness, and when she was finally achieving that happiness denied by her title of nobility, a strange and unfortunate death snatches her away, both her as well as the man who gave her that short bliss. Now after her death, I admired her even more.

What secrets does the strange accident where the most beloved Princess in the world died contain? We will know that little by little over time. That day, August 31, 1997, we did not have a family reunion to celebrate, we were all gathered in the house but we did not talk about anything other than Diana's death. We were glued to the television waiting for each bulletin that would inform us if she had survived, how it happened, who was chasing them, why they were chasing her, in short, there were too many questions and we had very few or dubious answers. After a few hours it was learned that the princess had arrived at the operating room alive but she died during the operation, and to complete the tragedy, it seemed that she was pregnant.

And so it was, years later it was confirmed that Diana was 2 and a half months pregnant but that her baby was not from her current partner, but from the one who had been her partner for 2 years, a London doctor. The man who was by her side on the day of the accident was her current partner and they had been together for very little time. For some reason they had been following them and when they left the place where they were staying, some paparazzi began to chase them until the car in which she was traveling with him collided with a column inside the Tunnel of the Soul. Until today, only the paparazzi and the driver were blamed for driving while intoxicated, but although it was always said that the pursuit order had come from another source, it could never be verified... I think that time will tell, nothing is secret forever.

Princess Diana's funeral was one of the greatest of all time, for being the most beloved princess in the world, for being a great woman, a tender and adorable being who deserved to live long and be happy. It was attended by people from all over, and many of us followed the coverage on TV and the Internet at all times. One of her greatest admirers was the singer Elton John, and the song he had composed years ago for Marilyn Monroe, he dedicated and sang especially to Diana on the day of her funeral.
