Everyday life of our animals: October

October is already ending. How quickly time flies! I was a little distracted by the photo shoot, but I can't finish the month without telling about our animals. We've had replenishments this month.

Firstly, three guinea pigs came to us at once! Someone threw them away. This is a charming mother and two daughters. My parrots gladly gave them a place in their aviary. It was not difficult because the aviary takes up half of the room and is very spacious.

The woodpecker Mother Hen (the name was chosen for the sounds it made😁). The bird has a traumatic brain injury and does not walk well. But it is also very tame and has a great appetite.

Another bird is a jackdaw. At first we named her Stasya. But then we changed the name to Galya Baluvana (Naughty Galya). Here I must explain that we have a chain of stores with homemade food with that name. The bird turned out to be very moody in food, so we changed its name 😁.

Three woodcocks were the last to arrive. I didn't want to take them ... These birds are very difficult to keep. The main problem is food for them. In a day, one woodcock eats about 200 g of earthworms. Winter is ahead, which means it won't be easy to find them. But all the other shelters also refused. I had to order earthworms urgently and I was lucky that I knew where they might be. Previously, I bought them there for compost.. Fortunately, now you can buy anything!

And of course, summing up the results of the month, one cannot but say about the Biscuit Seal. The baby is growing. Now her teeth have already begun to change. She is a very nice and kind dog, but she can stand up for herself.

This month she had her first vassination.

A new month will start tomorrow. It will begin with the fact that Star will go to an operation to remove the tumor. I really hope that everything will be good!
