An Avocado Dessert, Plating, and Finding Eye Satisfaction
What reason made you choose the dessert served at the hotel? Maybe dessert isn't that important if we're on a tight budget. But dessert is like a pleasant thing worth waiting for if you have more budget when visiting a luxury hotel or cafe.
Indeed, the pricey price is a heavy consideration. In addition, there are considerations of taste that may not necessarily suit the tastes of each individual, as well as the presentation which is sometimes below expectations.
Taking the Risk to Order a Dessert at a Hotel Restaurant
The dessert menu list at Andaliman Restaurant inside The Grandhika Hotel is not as good as other hotel restaurants I have visited. On average, this restaurant offers desserts for USD 2.85, a price that I think is very normal like other restaurants in the middle of a big city.
So I dared to take the risk to order a dessert at the hotel restaurant, even though I didn't really want this dessert. But because after lunch I still have free time, and I'm not too full, so I decided to add an order, an Avocado Cake.
I don't think this is a big risk because it doesn't hurt my wallet. LOL.
Let's take a look at a dessert I ordered. This is an AVOCADO CAKE served with coconut sugar and cherries.
SATISFYING PLATING
One thing I like when ordering dessert at a dining place that I've never been to before is the plating that's pleasing to the eye. Although it can't be denied, sometimes the plating in certain places doesn't meet my eye expectations, but at least I try to find something new to enjoy so I'm not completely disappointed.
For plating AVOCADO CAKE by Andaliman Restaurant, I can quite find satisfaction in my eyes. The plating is simple but still looks fancy.
The play of colors served on a plate seems to have succeeded in creating a balanced combination. I love how the brown, granular coconut sugar can form a nice pattern.
A touch of cherries is like the final touch of a dessert to complete the final look. Looks fancy, also sweet, and pleasing to the eye (at least to my taste buds).
What do you think? Does the AVOCADO CAKE plating that I ordered at a hotel restaurant look satisfying to your eyes?
THE TASTE
The taste of the avocado cake is yummy! The sweet taste of coconut brown sugar is what I love. It's like creating a beautiful character for this dessert.
The chocolate layer on this cake is also not too sweet so I like it. If you want a sweeter taste for a dominant taste, you can add more sauce to the dessert pieces that you are going to eat.
Overall, the risk that I took I finally enjoyed was something worth it. For USD2.85 it's not worth it, and the plating is quite pleasing to my eye.
I hope you enjoy the photos of my AVOCADO CAKE this time and provide something new to inspire your appetite. Have a great day!

Hi sis. Thanks for reading sis ❤️
First of all, I don't agree with your second sentence because if I have a tight budget, I won't eat at the hotel too. lol.
But anyway, USD 2.85 for that fancy dessert is a good deal! I hope I can try it in the real-life :( not only from your awesome pictures.
For good deal, it's okay la 😛
The desert looks delicious and attractive on the plate.
All the best for .2022, @anggreklestari 💕
All the best for you too ❤️
Lovely plating & visually appealing!🥑🍰
The first time I tasted avocado cake was ten years ago at the restaurant in the hotel where my family stayed in Grand Cayman. The American dollar does not go far in Grand Cayman and I think the dessert cost $10 USD back at the time.🤑
One would take a look at the avocado cake dessert and think it was mint then after one bite realize the tongue had been fooled! It truly tastes delicious and a bonus is it also contains healthy fats from the avocado fruit.
Happy Friday! @anggreklestari💓
Mine was having a mint effect too :)
Healthy fat for sure!
Happy Friday dear!
