@iamraincrystal - First of all, I need to say that you are killing me with your yummy feast. This makes me feel really miss to travel back to enjoy the Philippines. Pancit Bihon is one of my favorite Filipino food. I don't mind eating pancit bihon everyday. In Thailand where I live, we also have some kind of food that look likes pancit bihon and made from rice noodle as well but still miss the mood and feel of pancit bihon from the Philippines.

I strongly support your idea of #buylocal to help local folk to strive and survive during the pandemic. I myself normally do household shopping from supermarket and chained store. Since the pandemic, I realize that local business and small shop are hitting hard to survive. So now most of household goods are bought from nearby local shop and store. I normally cook my own meal with fresh vegetables from my garden, I don't have chance to buy food from local that much. But love to walk around to buy local sweet treat to enjoy with my coffee or tea.

Nothing great and better than having time to celebrate and enjoy a feast with family. Gong Xi Fa Chai! Wishing You a Prosperous Chinese New Year 2021.

Do you also celebrate the lunar new year there? It's actually a work holiday here, but I did have work. The best part is it's done for the day! Woohoo 🎉🎉🎉

So many other local dishes we have not featured as we could only consume so much. We also buy what we could eat up only to avoid wastage. Lucky you to have a vegetable garden! I will need to step up and learn gardening via containers. It helps to grow ypur own food these days.

Happy weekend!

@iamraincrystal - I am not the Chinese but take some benefit of friends who are Chinese as they always send some foods, fruits and other sweet treats during Chinese New year and other Chinese festivals. Great that you can eat up all with no food waste as so many hungers in this world.

As a full time traveler, I myself never consider to any kind of garden just a simply pot plant for some kind of fresh leave vegetables such as peppermint and etc. But after the pandemic, gardening is the best thing to enjoy at home. I always cook by myself once I am at home. So better to have my own supermarket of fresh vegetables in my back yard that I can enjoy it anytime. I can rest assured with pesticide free with my own vegetables. So I can enjoy my hard earned for a bit longer.

I recommend you start by planting in a pot with space and time saving in an experimental mode that you can expand it later.

Have a great day. !ENGAGE
